Great

I use this for a low B on my 7string. Goes down to A nicely on a 25.5" scale, but for A i prefer the tension of a 68 gauge.

Long lasting and it feels great

excellent as low B

I use these as the low B string on my 7-string UV777, together with an Ernie Ball Skinny Top Beefy Bottom set. The sound is massive with a sparkling roar, and they rarely get broken. Perfect addition!

Drop B

You want to play low and hard? This is what you need on your low B.

I've bought it as alternative for low B-string on baritone guitar, because it's bit thicker than at light set (0.62) and lighter than in medium set (0.68). I plan to tune it down to A. Nickel wound D'Addario baritone strings are pleasure to play and the longer neck suits them.

D'Addarios rules

Just that...

I find in them anything I need, tone and definition-wise, and I just couldn't be happier with their quality!!!

I like to play around with different tunings, and thet offer a wide range of gauges. Also, the fact that a huge range of singles of any gauge are available to customize sets, is brilliant!!!

From time to time I try other brands, and many are OK, but is just I have found my feel and tone with D'Addario, and I'm always going back to using them.

It's a matter of taste, as always when sound is involved.

For me they're PERFECT, I love them!!!

Deep string tuning

THis single strig is perfect to use it on a seven string as deepest string, when you want to drop the lowest string from the b to the a. The string has a clear sound for a long time and doesbt breaks.

Good addition to regular sets

I play D'Addario strings for a long time now.

My main set is the EXL110, because of its brightness and smooth feel.

Since I'm a 7-string player and don't like the regular 7-string sets by D'Addario, I always end up buying a set of EXL110 and combine it with this string.

It gives me the tension i need, to have a good feeling and good intonation on my guitar.

I tune the lowest string to B or A, both is possible with this extra string.

The quality of these strings is very good, I never experienced bad strings or other issues.

If you play 7-string guitar and dont like the regular sets, buy one of these and combine it with a regular set! You will not be disappointed!

It's a string!

Yeah, a single string. Nice sound, very bright and clear. The tone lasts a good while without any real degradation, and the feel is nice and smooth. Would definitely recommend.

Good

I use this string for my 7 string guitar and tune it to D#. It holds tuning very well and offers great clarity and punch. The string maintains its clarity for a long time. I have it on my guitar for around 6 months (I wipe the string after every playtime).

I live in a tropical island and the string is exposed to quite some salinity and yet there's no sign of oxidation.

I highly recommend this string for 7 string guitars or even heavily down tuned 6 string. Just make sure your tuning pegs are large enough to accommodate this size.

Been using this gauge for years combined with a regular 6 string set (Daddario EXL125) for my 7 string guitars. Lasts long and sounds great. It has just the right tension for "B" standard tuning (slightly higher than a low E standard .46 gauge) and works well down to "A" without being overly floppy on a regular 25.5 scale guitar. For tunings lower than A, I would recommend a thicker gauge.
