Still in search for an alternative to the Pro Steels

Since D'Addario discontinued the Pro Steel 13–56 sets, I have been in search of an alternative. Sadly, this is not it.

If you're looking for something smooth in both feel and sound with good mid-range definition, this might be a good choice, but for those like me looking for something brighter and tighter, this sadly falls short.

Long lasting and great feel

Used on a PRS Custom 24 tuned to D standard. Works wonders, love the higher tension of the, in my case, FAD strings, a wound F is great, and they sound great and last long.

They are thick strings with a lot of tension, will punish you if you don't play regularily.

Perfect for B-Standard

I've been looking for the right string gauges for C-standard on my 25.5" scale guitar and decided to try these strings out. Turned out to be perfect for the bottom strings (not flubby and with very good tension) but a little bit too tight for the top strings for my taste, which makes it a bit hard to bend. Tuned down to B-standard and they feel just right
