Good sound for long scale basses

There are sometimes issues with 34"-scale extended range basses, in that the low B string sounds muffled and feels floppy. Well, not with the NYXLs. The sound is crispy, goes well with the sound I want from a Jazz bass, the texture is just fine for fingerplaying, and they last long. Clearly recommended (there is a pun in there somewehere).

No complaints, good sounding and long lasting strings.

New 5 stringer

lovely new strings, have lasted a while on my 5 that I use for practise, but stay in tune brilliantly, will be sticking to these from now on.

Longlasting great sounding strings

I was looking for a relatively bright sounding nickel plated string and tried these. They intonate well, are tonally well balanced with a good low-end response and are long lasting. My current set is still going strong after 4 months (played on a daily basis for an hour or so). They are relatively high-tension which took me some time to get used too.

The low B (untapered) works great too, there is tapered version as single string available for those who prefer that. Tried these strings on Jazz and PJ configurations and find they work well on both. They are certainly dear but at the same time a high-quality set of strings.
