Darkglass Harmonic Booster 2.0 Bass Pre

Mandatory for any bass player

Once you switch it on and dial your sound, it is impossible to switch it off. Particularly great before overdrive/distortion, especially Darkglass ones.

Nice clean preamp

Nice piece of gear. I use it in front of my Ampeg Studio for getting less fat and more defined sound, that still has that Ampeg character to it.

My only issue is that the knobs are really close to each other, so it is a bit difficult to adjust.

Good pedal to have but..

This is a nice pedal from Darkglass once again, has a nice trick with the character knob and ads something spicy on the sound, not very usable tho in all circumstances, but if you play with it, it will add something special if you are about this tone. I found very handy the Mid Frequencies knobs, this are great and usefull if you dont own an EQ pedal, works good with X7.

The cons are that is really expensive for what it offers in my honest opinion, also mine came with some QC issue, which I managed to fix but you should not expect that from so expensive pedals and specially from darkglass.

Very easy to set up! Works like a charm! It's a must in a modern bass player's pedal chain!

Perfect companion for a bass distortion pedal

Man I do love Darkglass pedals!

I recently bought an Alpha Omega Ultra V2 pedal and I wanted to sculpt even further its tone (I use this pedal to go direct to FOH). And boom! Here comes the majestic Harmonic Booster! With this pedal I can fine tune my sound and get exactly what I want from my distortion pedal!

It is a clean boost that means you are not going to distort your sound even more!

Pros:

Very well built, easy to use, you won't be able to turn it off! it will become a pillar of your tone as soon as you put it on your pedalboard.

Cons:

I would have chosen a different palette of colour for this pedal. Maybe a white background with black fonts. Just to improve readability on dark environments.

Best bass pre/boost ever.

This is amazing, it adds something special to you bass sound. it is an alway on on pedal for me and one of my most important pedals on my board.
