Only one problem found compatibility issues concerning Mp3 VBR encoded files, none with CBR files. Got a little carried away and forgot about this units playback limitations, Soundforge encodings work for me dbpoweramp a little less.
Recording into USB or SD card
Long gone are the days when you could record into cassette tapes. But this is much better. This is simple to use, and you really don't need any higher audio quality than 24 bit/48 kHz WAV files. This is perfect to make backups of my vinyl records or to record radio programs!
Price/quality oke
Pitty that it doesn't support all my existing USB-sticks and SD-cards.
No digital in - and outputs. For the rest very good Denon product for this price. Mo remote control
Simple and does the job for the price
So far I have been happy with this, it does what it says on the tin - no fuss install and setup, good quality recording device for my needs
DENON SOLID STATE RECORDER
bought to replace Tascam SS-r100 as i need Digital Master quality files.
operating system/menus/functions much like the Tascam, but more basic. still; it can record @ 24Bit/48K where the Tascam can't.
no file-naming or delete; file management needs to be done on computer (certainly not an issue for me, but renaming as you work helps if you have multiple Takes on your Card).
feels solid, simple to use & decent sound quality. i would say that, it might be better to use the XLR in/out options; the Phono RCA can be quiet on the way out; and depending on your source quite hot on the way in. still; no problems getting what i need from it, good piece of kit!
