It's ok, but not for lower tones

Lower notes sounds very muddy, disappointed..

Ballistics make the difference

For just a pitch shifter, I would prefer the Pitchfork (or others). The pitchfork has a lot more possibilities and a less glitchy sound. The BALLISTICS is what makes this pedal unique. With the Expression pedal on the Pitchfork, you cannot control the speed of effectchange that much (there are some possibilities). But this pedal gives a great amount of control with the ballistics knob. You can have the sound of a motor (grascutter, chainsaw) that's getting on. Or the start of the movie (Dolby commercial). Real slow and controlled built up or down of the effect. Even with a whammy pedal you can't get this even and controlled sound building. That's where the Ricochet makes the difference for me and what I'm interested in as an effect.

Same as the Whammy V

If you owned a Whammy V, this is exactly the same. It just has the extra feature of ballistics, where you adjust the speed of the tone change.

The tracking is very good. Not perfect but better than the boss OC-5, which is considered to be a top octaver.

Digitech sounds that don't take up half your board.

I'm mostly using it to droptune at the moment, but the separate adjustments for the sweep up and down it actually makes songs that feature a whammy viable for me. I suffer from bad hips and poor balance, making precise control of the floating footplate almost impossible for me.

Unfortunately having to set the trajectory speed can be challenging and I'm sure these would do much better with an exp pedal jack, because the sound is great.

You can squeeze A LOT out of this pedal

The Ricochet is an awesome pedal and delivers great, clean sounding pitch effects. Apart from more experimental effects, I was pleasantly surprised how easily I could even play songs like 'Wish You Were Here' by Pink Floyd when combined with my choice of reverb and delay. This fall and rise rate knob is awesome and makes nailing consistent sounds easy (when compared to using the pedal on something like the Digitech Whammy).

Quality is awesome and so is the design (as can be expected from many Digitech pedals).

Well worth the price and highly recommended.

Great pedal!

Delivered on time, works well for down tuning and doing pedal bends. Sometimes the sound can be a bit too digital, especially with distortion. Otherwise it's great

Pushing Boundaries with Whammy

The DigiTech Whammy Ricochet Pitch Shifter has quickly become an indispensable part of my pedal collection. It brings the iconic pitch shifting effects of the legendary DigiTech Whammy into a compact, stompbox size, without compromising on the sound quality or functionality.

The first thing that strikes you about the Ricochet is its simplicity. The layout is intuitive and easy to get a handle on, even for those new to pitch shifting. The Shift and Return knobs allow you to control the rate of pitch bend, while the Pitch knob lets you select the interval, ranging from a subtle detune to a dramatic two-octave shift.

Awesome

It is an excellent price-performance product because it is small and does not look for its brother at all.

very good tool

Its very good and thought out. The knobs are great in function and you can achieve sounds you want and experiment with things.

Better than expected

bought this as the full sized whammy is just so, well, full sized. Found myself doing unexpected things with it, mostly more subtle short step downward sweeps mixed in to my playing. It reall excels at this. Of course, the more traditional whammy sounds are there if thats your cup of tea. Killer octave down pedal as well!
