Great filter
I have most of the Doepfer filters. This one, the Moog copy, and the Wasp are my favorites. This is a nice round, natural & pleasant filter, more like a natural instrument or an OB.
Little price a lot of happiness
I use this filter to shape the sounds coming from my oscillator. As it is for most Doepfer products, you will get exactly what was described. Nothing more and certainly nothing less. That being said this filter leaves you with an incredibly warm sound. You change the filter's resonance, add volume and control the frequency with CV (+ attenuator!). It is a very good addition to my rack and it is not going anywhere soon.
My first filter
I like the sound and the price. The only thing I don't like it the sockets up the side. I prefer modules to have sockets at the top or bottom.
Great filter module
One of my favourite filter modules, not expensive but surprisingly good sounding with cool resonance. Bang for the buck!
Just like the real SEM....
....this 12dB filter can scream at all levels. From soft, round, coloured tones to harsh, snarling, gritty peaks, this superb filter may just be the only sonic palette you need. Tom Oberheim would be proud :)
