Frequency Divider

Really handy
It does what it should! I'm using it for sequencers reseting...insta groove. Triggering accents also adds lots of character.
Great Utility
I really like how this divider can switch between gates and triggers. It also has prime number divisions which can make for interesting patches. Having a good clock divider is an essential tool.
Like all Doepfer products - it is easy to use and straight forward.
Buy 3, use them all at the same time.
There's not a lot to say about this, it does exactly what it's supposed to so, it's built quit well and the tactile feeling of the switches is nice.
The prime setting is nice to have when working experimentally.
Works as advertised.
Super Clockdivider
Doepfer, what else?!
The most accessible and functional clock divider out there. As usual top German grade engineering and quality from doepfer.
Clock Divider
Very nice clock/trigger utility. Solid build like all doepfer. I like the reset input and ability select different divisions - I use them to clock LFOs and other time based modules.
essential
Essential in my rack, have two, need more. Use it to switch pitch/cv for voices (in to quantizer), switching triggers and gates, switcing modulation sources and so much more, switch switch switch :)
Does what it it supposed to
At first I was a bit confused about the interpretation of "multiplier" and "divider", depending from what perspective. I mean, mathematically to divide means to make less and to multiply means to make more. But here it is the other way around ;-) Anyway, this module does not need a user manual, is straightforward to use as all explanation is printed on the device itself. Works like a charm. When patching to another hole, it first finishes off the current cycle, which for me is very neat.
Function over form
This is one of the only clock dividers that can turn gate signals into triggers. I use it to trigger accents at set intervals that are divided from my main clock without having to use up triggers from more exotic modules like Euclidian Circles.
Functionality wise this module is a real lifesaver. Very versatile.
That being said, the jacks are easily the worst I've ever used on any product. They are crooked and skewed so that inserting a cable at a normal angle feels like you're going to break the entire module. You have to insert patch cables from a sideways angle to get them in there, and even then they wobble like hell.
I've had good experiences with Doepfer before so I'm hoping I was just unlucky to receive a poorly assembled module. You might have more luck.
Despite the jacks being loose and crooked, the module has never malfunctioned because of it.
Very useful for percussion
I find this unit really useful for glitchy percussive sounds and to get some unpredictability. Requires some time to work out how to use but this makes for a more interesting mix.
