Great modular utility

Fantastic for reducing cable spagetti between different cases. It takes some testing of how to divide/pair the cables setting between audio and control voltage cables as there can be significant "leakeage" and ghost interference. But all in all I love these modules (I have 6 of them)

Helps bring sanity to wiring mess

nice for helping to limit the cables between cabinets. great for CV. have to be careful with audio. there can be some crosstalk. using cat8 cables helps but does not completely eliminate crosstalk.

Works as expected - but use Cat 7 network cable

This is a brilliant module for routing CV / audio between cases, cheap and works exactly as you would expect.

Just make sure you use at least Cat 7 cable for proper shielding, otherwise you'll have lots of problems with interference / hum.

My only wish is that the RJ45 connectors were rear mounted ...

a very useful tool

I have the 2 modules of the multicore on opposite ends of one 178 HP rack, so I do not need to have a lot of cables going across the rack. The 2 CAT6 cables connecting the multicores run behind the rack (3 meters, not the short ones supplied with the units).

It really helps clean up cable clutter and thus have more space for my hands to actually turn knobs on the modules.

Downsides are, that there is a light crosstalk between the channels (which you only here if you connect a cable from an unused channel to a mixer and crank up the volume) and that the cables going in / out of the multicore are bunched up really tight together.

Genius!

Send audio/voltages directly over standard Cat5 cable. Handy!

Neat & effective solution to carry CV and Audio

I used the A-180-9 to carry CV signals between two euroracks 6 meters apart, and it worked perfectly.

Then I tested two A-180-9 carrying stereo audio signals from a patchbay (with amps, instruments, & effects), to a mixer, a tape recorder and A/D interface, all gathered 10 meters apart from that patch bay.

So Mixer, recorder and A/D were connected to one A-180-9 with short mono cables, then the two ethernet cable (well shielded, good quality CAT 6) went across the battlefield to the other A-180-9 close to the patchbay. Good signal, no interferences, no crosstalk.

I managed just two cheap long cables on the floor instead of 14 expensive ones. For this price is ace.

super functioneel

deze modules maken mijn leven zoveel gemakkelijker. Geen draden meer patchen tussen kisten voor live shows, gewoon twee moduletjes verbinden en klaar!

Great product

It's almost perfet, i would place both ethernet connectors on top, for better cable organization.
