Excellent solidly built work horse module

Absolute requirement to complement modules that do not have attenuated input or output control. Very well made.

Runs without power!

You can use it even as a volume knob for headphones!

Useful, simple, cheap. Great Quality!

Simple & useful

Very simple, but (very) useful module. Great build quality as always!

extra performance controls

This is one of those utility modules that proves to be more useful than you'd think.

I've mounted mine at the edge of my modular's case so that I can easily access the controls rather than getting lost in the spaghetti of a complex patch and I use it for performance controls. Just a straight voltage through it and mult the output and I can sweep the cutoff accross my three filters ...all at once! Lovely!

I also use it for subtle control over modulation depths (often for vibrato). You can of course put audio signals through it as well to send a dry signal to several effects at once (again through a multiple - I have a multiple mounted right beside the dual attenuator as I often use them in tandem).

It's inexpensive, small, versatile and very useful.

A very affordable attenuator

At this price and at the same Doepfer-German quality we're used to, it's doing its job very fine. I'm using it with the Doepfer A-148 Dual S&H. Strongly recommended!

Does what it says on the tin

Big, beautiful, expensive modules make for a good patch - utilities make for a great patch. Can't have enough of them.

Ideally for me would have three channels of attenuation not two for the hp, but can't grumble at this price.

Dull but useful

This is one of those modules you don't know you need until you get one. One of my old oscillators didn't have a knob to control the amount of PWM. So the A183-1 came to the rescue.
