Works exactly like I hoped.

I purchased this for the same reason you're probably reading this review - to convert MIDI into CV/Gate signals.

It works really well, despite the menu system not being particularly intuative. You may need to keep a printout of the manual around for a little while.

Other than that, the fact that you can change the speed of the clock signal that's sent out is a bonus too.

I've not tried any similar modules but I'm thoroughly happy with my A-190-4.

The only MIDI-CV interface you will need

The A-190-4 combines all the excellent functions of its predecessors. Add to that a simple interface and solid build quality and you have another excellent product from Doepfer.
