What a fun!

The Dark Time is intuitive and funny to use. It is a very creative tool. So fun, that some years ago I already had one. After I sold it in a moment of stupidity, and after 7-8 months I bought it again.

Highly suggested

Best analog sequencer

great analog sequencer to drive any gear you have. Has USB to sync with a digital DAW if need be. Nothing more you need.

A fun Sequencer

Doepfer Dark time was my first sequencer.

I used it to sequence my SH-101 and Synthex.

It was super easy to set up and fun to play with, but i found the options a bit limited.

The overall build quality was good, altho i would prefer the knobs to be a bit more tight. They where too easy to move and it was easy to change a nice setting by mistake.

I really liked to blue led lights, but they where way too bright when the sequencer was used in an upright position.

I particulary enjoyed the good timing and multi functionality of midi usb and CV ins and outs.

A good sequencer for those who are new in the field and want fast and straight forward operation.

Back on analogue roots

Walking through the development of technology, we discover that we did in the past had the same good things. This small but powerful sequencer is our return to a better future! Recommend!

very good !!!

this is a serious sequencer, very well built. It will add a lot of power to any synthesizer either by using the midi connection or the CV gates. Doepfer has never released a bad product, as far as i know. Very reliable and excellent sound quality. Bravo Doepfer. You never let down the true fans of electronic music. I like too the slightly retro concept.
