GREAT SOUND

I placed the strings on an Epiphone MM30 mandolin , and immediately felt a positive difference in the feeling of the finger with the string , the tension is very good. The sensation of the half round finish is not so evident ( vs guitar full flat ) but tone and playability are great . Still to verify if they last more than previous set , but I understand that if you play a lot of hours per week , string's life cannot be infinite .

Dogal Mandolin Calace HR136

The description says, "HALF ROUND" - Those wonderful words to me that suggest a bright tone together with a smooth comfortable feel. They are not quite as smooth as flat wound, but a better feel than round wound. The steel will give better output to magnetic pickups than bronze, although that's not applicable to me.
