Great tone!

Very quality strings with rich tone and long lasting. The tension is a bit more than the usual so they are just perfect for me since my band tunes a semitone down.

good for fretless

Good sound and feel for fretless, not too bright and not too dumb.

They feel smoother than ordinary roundwounds and dont make too much noise whe sliding. Great harmonics too. I dont slap...

DR Nickel Lo-Riders

I cannot recommend these strings enough. I've used DR strings for quite a few years now, previously using the Hi-Beams, Lo-Riders and Sunbeams. The strings in this review "Tite Fite Medium NMH-45" are the Nickel Lo-Riders and as such are similar to the DR stainless steel Lo-Riders in sound but the fact they are nickel rather than steel makes the sound a little darker and warmer and also makes them a little bit easier on the fingers, which I prefer. They are still quite "punchy" sounding but definitely less bright compared to the Hi-Beams and other brands such as the standard Ernie Ball strings.

They also last a very long time compared to some cheaper alternatives, depending on how much you play and how worn you like your strings, I prefer my strings to be played in a little bit, they can last up to 8-12 months.

dependable as always

I've been using this for at least 3 years now and have no problems recommending this to anyone. This particular set is very taut and has longer sustain than anything I've tried.

Great strings

I have always loved DR quality and longevity, but I tend to like the sound and fee3l of nickel strings better. These are perfect for me. More bite and growl than Hi-Beams or Sunbeams, but less of the metallic attack in Lo-Riders steel. They stay fresh long enough too.

No problem with these

After the initial brightness wore off, the sound of these strings remained steady for several months. The tuning is stable and they appear to be well made. Sonically, they outlasted cheaper strings I've used.
