I used these a lotâ¦
Back in the day I loved these strings but ultimately stopped using them in favor of the DR Tite Fits in 009 gauge, which are more suited to me. I never had a dud string or even broke one. They felt good. Sound was perfect to my ears even after the initial twang and zing had gone. I found they retained tone and intonation for a long time and I had no reason to change, until I found the nines.
I've used these for the past 6 months, super happy with the tone and feel. Rich with overtones and they make my 335 sing!
Only con (but enevitable I guess) I think they keep their shine for about two weeks when playing 8 hrs a day.. Like the feel of new strings so buckle up with a batch and you are good to go!!
Best strings on the market
I choose strings not only for their sound but also how they feel. Dr Tite Fits are my favourite because of that. They feel better compared to other brands, which to me always seemed a bit off. That's a personal preference of course.
Now the sound is phenomenal. Clear, tight and punchy. They have that snappy sound without being too harsh. I previously tried Hi Beams but I found them to be too bright without enough body. These are a little less bright but with much more improved body.
I don't think they last noticeably longer than other brands, but they maintain a fresh sound a lot longer.
Overall, these are great strings irrelevant of the gauge. Highly recommended.
great strings ,,I had try several types and brands but l am very pleased with DR strings ,very good quallity !!!
Can't find better
The best strings I've ever used. Nice sound, keep tuning. Only thing it seems to me they last as long as every other strings (despite it should last longer) - about 4 month, then loose their sound, but still are playable. But it's the only one imperfection.
Great Sound, Not Great Quality
When you first unbox the strings, they sound great, and will sound great for a couple more days. Seeing as they're round-wound the strings are easier to bend than most other types of guitar strings on the market.
I find that after the first few days, the strings deteriorate quickly, and need to be replaced within the first month before they start scratching your frets. This is even when I wash my hands and wipe down the strings every time I play.
I recommend the strings if you're just playing one gig, and are looking for some great strings for that one gig.
I found that the strings work great for Classic Rock, and blues
The safe choice
Well known strings for the extremely long duration and quality with a very good sound.
Happy about these strings
I replaced my Fender bullets (which I had a poor experience with) with these strings. I had a slight increase in output and rediscovered a bit of sparkle (the Fenders were just a couple of weeks old and sounded flat and lifeless in comparison, before breaking of course!).
My Strat has been strung with these for a few months and yet there is still no corrosion to write home about, still I have a lively sound, and still they haven't snapped!
I play blues-rock/70's rock, etc, and can't find any real complaint, not regarding tone, output, construction quality, corrosion, nothing. Just good, no nonsense, solid strings which do the business. In the absence of any apparent fault, I can only give these the maximum rating.
Used Ernie Ball .10s before switching to DR Tite Fit MT-10. Found them more durable and the sound clearer, so not planning on switching back.
Great tone
Great tone, lovely and bright, nice feel on the strings. Long lasting. Been using DR strings for years, the only problem is that I've had one or two dodgy strings out of the packet. They are more expensive than other brands, but whatever I've tried I've always ended up going back to DR, now I don't buy any other brand of string
