Great bright colour, good weight and really nice to hold. I’ve used it on my current gongs - 32” and it’s great… not yet got the bigger gong this is for, but I’m sure it won’t disappoint! I love all of the Olli Hess mallets- they are definitely superior to my mind 😊

This is relatively smooth compared to the Meinl rubbers, which makes it easier to generate clear tones without judder. Deep-mid tones depending on pressure. Construction feels solid, the handle is strong, and it works on 22', 28" , and 40" gongs with equal ease.

I love this little beauty. It peels off a wonderfully high pitch wail on my gongs. It can be quite shockingly high and loud in a small room so a subtle touch is required.... takes a little practice, but not much. After a lot of use (6 months of using it a few times a week) the head has become a little worn out and so is no longer spherical, but it still works just the same :-) xx
