Looks cool. sounds louder . i compared to a normal resonant head recording with a handset and its volume even caused the phones mic to distort. Perfect for lower volume gigs where the kick is not mic'd but maybe a little lost in volume with a normal resonant head

I had it on my kit in under 5 minutes, This thing takes the place of a bass drum's resonant head. I originally only put it on my order to get free shipping, but I am really happy I did. The Drumport wont make you Bassdrum 'Louder', but what it will do is make the bassdrum sound more fuller and aggressive. The opening extends into the drum and is centred around where the beater strikes, meaning you get alot of attack without the lingering other sounds you don't want. Which makes it a 'godsend' for sound engineers. Anyone who has ever miced a drumkit before knows how much you have to tweak the position of the Bassdrum mic before you get it in that "Goldilocks" zone, with the drumport, the sound you want, is the sound you hear and with no RESO head, micing up just got a hell of alot easier. I highly recommend the Drumport, made my life easier and made my bassdrum sound much better!
