Tama LGM137-STA Sound Lab Snare

This snare drum is a really really good piece of wood. It sounds incredibly good in every situation. I personally use it more to play heavy stuff (metal, rock,...) and it's perfect. Another great thing about this snare is that you can get a lot of different sounds depending on how you tune it. It's a really versatile snare and I would absolutely recommend it to every drummer out there!
CAZZ Snare 13"x6" Maple Natural Satin
Based on 1 reviews
I've been using this snare for a few months now and am able to say it's easily one of the best snares I've used. Excellent build quality flawlessly cut bearing edges and finishing. I have used a number of stave shell drums before, all of them more expensive-some by much more, this Cazz snare more than competes with any of them. Depending on head selection, tuning and snare settings this drum has a very broad range. I have yet to find something I dislike about this snare. I highly recommend as a primary or secondary snare.
Ludwig 13"x03" Piccolo Snare

I've had this snare for a week now, and so far I'm very impressed. The sound is great, experimenting with tuning can get you many different tones from this drum, and the internal dampener (or whatever it's called) can get you a really dead sound (which I imagine will be great for recording, especially in a small room). I have only used this snare for practicing so far. The snare wires and drum heads don't seem to be the greatest, but with a ~50 euro investment you'd be able to get it set up real nice. The finish looks great, and I love that it has the old Ludwig badge (although it's black and white instead of the classic blue and olive.) Again, I haven't been using this snare for long, but so far it performs so much better than a 170€ piece of gear. I would recommend this...
DW PDP 13"x07" Walnut Snare
Based on 2 reviews
This is a sweet addition to any kit! I use it as my main snare and I am very pleased. It has a great finish, looks good and has a really nice feel to it, regardless of tuning. Changing the stock head is strongly recommended. That's why I put four stars on Sound. The snare has great potential but the heads it comes with do not do it justice.
Pearl 13"x03" Piccolo Snare #114

This was a great buy in my opinion. Its of great quality and also the sound is great also. It has a great crack to it and also easily maintained in regards to tuning. After having this product for 3 years now I am very pleased with it. I would definitely recommend this snare drum to any drummer looking for a tight pop snare sound or just a nice sounding snare drum. Fantastic quality product made by Pearl!
Millenium 13"x07" Mahogany Snare #11
Based on 1 reviews
You get what you pay for. Everything seems ok. The Millenium sticker was upside down (which I removed anyway). The tension screws are gritty so they need to be greased. The bearing edge only is cut on the inside with a large flat area on the outside. Sounds ok, but Iâll probably recut the bearing edge with a router.
Pearl Modern Utility 13"x5" #234

Great value for this snare. Nothing to complain about. However, I changed the snare wires for Puresound snare wires because the factory snare wires are not the best quality. The heads also need to be changed as they are the cheap factory heads. Also the hoops are the thinner hoops. I bought thicker hoops that are stronger. Still, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this snare drum as it is! Highly recommended!
