the box pro Achat 115 Sub
Based on 4 reviews
Very impressed with these subs. they are light compact and look amazing. the drivers can certainly take a beating and they have a great Spl that can play among the big boys. i would however recommend 4 of these all together so two either side of the stage stacked to really feel some guts from the boxes. but in single stack they still pack punch and i highly recommend these subs to any band, sound company and install in clubs and pubs. all my clients comment about how smart they look and how amazing they sound. a great purchase!!!
HK Audio Premium PR:O 18 S
Based on 3 reviews
I bought these as part of a package with the PRO 15's. The built in crossover is perfectly designed to use with any other passive HK Audio speakers. I have found that they produce a great full range with the PRO 15's and I should imagine they would also benefit the PRO 12's also. They are perfect for many applications, I have previously used them for DJ's to live gigs. These were once used in a church with a live band as part of a wedding. They produced a great quality sound that would normally get lost with many systems in such a large setting. The balance that the crossover produces is a credit to the system giving great sound in many types of venue. I am sure with multiples of this system you could create a brilliant sound in the largest of venues. The only minor letdown on these...
HK Audio Elements E110 Sub
Based on 1 reviews
The modular nature of HK elements enables the system to cope with larger audiences or bigger rooms by adding passive bass boxes. These can be powered by an active bass unit or an amplifier module. If you have a system with 2 tops powered by E110A units the extra bass boxes require the addition of amplifier modules unless you cheat! By feeding a mono bass signal into a third E110A this can be used to power this unit and run a system with 4 bass speakers. This gives you awesome sound at the least possible cost and the third E110A unit can act as backup to the other two.
Seeburg Acoustic Line G Sub 1501
Based on 1 reviews
Almost a year ago bod 9 of these speakers in combination Seeburg Acoustic Line A4. And well with to say they sound great straight out of the box (for the optimum sound and life spent using factory dsp settings. For those ho don't know what dsp=digital sound processor). It was not my first Seeburg installation and will definitely not will be my last. In terms of prestige lo & high volume out across the spectrum. And really nice build quality. With that combination you can definitely satisfy your costumer for years to come
the box pro TP218/1600 MkIII
Based on 8 reviews
I recently bought 4 of these for our on stage side fills and drum fills and was genuinely amazed at the sound and build quality of them. I ran an A B test against other twin 18" subs that have respected brand names and these stood the test and seemed like the logical purchase. I will admit that the are no match for something like the coda SCP's, but if you don't have several thousand to spend per sub or the funds for the dsp amplifiers that go with something like that then you really and truly can't go wrong with these. For the price I was expecting a flimsily built box but these are sturdy as anything that you would pay top price for. Highly recommended!!
the box pro Achat 118
Based on 7 reviews
I bought 8 of these 10 years ago as part of the Box Pro Achat System 2 I am configuring a new system and incorporating these into it as they are (still) so good! Being Horn loaded they give a very good account of themselves and perform well against other 2 x 18 conventional subs but are much easier to move on their wheels and I can still stack them on top of each other myself (just about!) Over the last 10 years I have used them for all sorts of gigs from the hotel function band (using 2) to full blown festivals using all 8 about 6 times a year . I have never found my self wanting any more Bass ! AS usual with the Achat stuff this is fantastic value for money and perfect for people that listen with their ears not their eyes ! :-)
the box pro Achat 112 Sub
Based on 11 reviews
I originally bought these in 2009 for a band i was in at the time thinking that because of the M20 threaded plates on the top i would use speaker poles for our Active tops and dispense with speaker stands . It was only when they arrived that i realised that these little 12" lightweight subs would be too wobbly with our heavy powered tops on the pole. I put them in storage and forgot about them ! Fast forward to 2012/13 and fed up of carting our bigger subs around I thought I would give them a try as we had now moved over to a passive system with Achat Pro 12" Tops ( much lighter!) I am now giving those subs a good kicking with an active crossover (DCX) and they share 1200 watts of 40-120Hz and I find it really accents the Kick drum, that moves air and makes the punters jump...
the box PA 18 ECO MKII

These are heavy and could do with casters. However they are OK to handle with two people grabbing a handle each. They're big and solid and the threaded socket for poles is good quality. No one knocks your top speakers over when they're mounted via a pole on top of these. They have transformed my 8 piece band's sound from excellent to unbeatable. I also chose these because they're passive but have a built in crossover and a link out to the satellite speakers. This allows me to use one stereo power amp instead of two and a speaker management system etc.. I'm very happy with them to be fair.
EV ELX 118

Just upgraded from a pair of 15" to these. First impressions, they look good, very compact for an 18 and not too heavy. Feel solid and well made. Took them out on their first gig last night and was very impressed. Massive amount of clear, well defined bass. Not at all muddy or boomy. Of all the passive 18s in this price range I've demoed, these blow the others out of the water. (and some much more expensive options as well) If you are in the market for new subs these really do take some beating.
the box pro TP 118/800

I must admit to buying these as spacers to raise my Achat12 above head height above some 2x18 subs, as they were cheap and light, with no intention of actually plugging them in. When I did get around to actually trying them, I was amazed! They are not the most efficient of boxes, but they sound as good as anything that I have tried out there and I have been doing live sound professionally for 25 years. Being an 18" driver, they were never going to be compact, but they are very light and easy to move with the optional wheels. Using an amp rated at 1500w a side into 4 ohms, they just keep on delivering a great bottom end without complaining, inside or out. If you have the space, buy some. You will not be disappointed!
