Fantastic Octaver

Fantastic fast tracking octaver with multiple modes to choose from. These modes effectively are an EQ for how the octave sounds starting with high which is a toppy synthy type tone to mid which is a classic octave sound to low which is a deep subby tone. This pedal can only produce one octave down which is pretty limited compared to some other octavers on the market however it does it DAMN well. This is the fastest and most consistent tracking octave I used, I really like the tone it produces (for some reason it feels thicker and more weighty than other models I have tried) and it is built like a tank. I have had mine for 6 years now and its still going strong despite excessive use. If you are looking for a no nonsense great sounding and fantastic tracking octaver this is the one you want.

Amazing Octave

Clear signal, works better with low output pickups (it can track down to G on the E string). Highly recommended

The best around

I often play in a band with a singer, drummer and one guitarist and so need to find a way to thicken out what I'm doing sometimes. I've used octavers for ages and this is by far the best I've tried.

Construction is as good as you would expect from EBS - solid and strong. Tracking is excellent, even quite far down the fretboard. It's precise and clean - and the true bypass is useful. Controls are simple and do exactly what you think they would.

All in all, the best Octaver out there, I think

Great octaver

Solid built high quality octaver. Great fun and good sounds for both my fretted and unfretted basses. True bypass as with all EBS pedals. Low noise and three different sounds for the synthethic octave down (high / mid / low)

Great clean sounding octaver

This pedal is a great addition to my pedal collection. I was after a way of improving the bottom end of my basses without having to boost the bass on the EQ and this pedal does that very well. Not only that, but because of the three different modes I can change to a slight different sound depending on where in the neck I'm playing.

It sounds very clean and crisp (and low). It only seems to struggle a little bit when playing the first five frets and open string on the E string and is only noticeable when playing unaccompanied.

I only gave it 4 stars for quality because when I opened the pedal to change the battery the soldering seemed a bit messy, so clearly there were some savings there.
