Best octaver for my use case

I use this for splitting my bass guitar signal and adding a high octave. I tried a lot of different octavers (OC-5, PS-6, Pitch Fork, Sub'n'Up..), and while they are nice pedals and the low octaves sound great, the POG's high octave sounds the most natural and like an actual guitar.

Works as expected

I use this bass for general octave pedal use on bass, the pedal has no issues tracking and i have tested it down as far as low A with no issues whatsoever.

The ability to be able to select lower and higher octaves and set the volume for these and natural sound individually is great.

Click a button and you are happy

I have been looking for an octave pedal to fatten the overdriven sound of my Godin Exit 22 guitar. That is because usually more gain does not give more feeling of heaviness. So I wanted not-so-much-gain signal to sound massive and this pedal gave me that. Every time when I click the button, I feel the power of what I am playing.

As there are disscusions about delays, slow response etc. compared to other pedals (example mini POG), I must say, that I haven't experienced any of this: the lower octave perfectly goes along even when I am playing fast legato notes.

I do not use octave up function usually, beacause it is not the thing I needed, but I am keeping the knob at about 9 o'clock, so it adds a little obertones, which is not very cleary heard, but makes the sound fuller.

Works perfectly both with humbucker and neck pickups.

All in all - if you are looking for an Octave pedal, I do not see any reason not to buy it.

Octave fun

I bought the EHX Nano POG after watching uncountable reviews on octave pedals.

It's a great effect to experiment with - whether its for getting a unique sound in a melody or solo, create beautiful synth/organ-sounding swells, or strum massive chords.

This pedal sits in my FX loop and seems to like it there. I haven''t moved it around in the chain simpy because i'm happy with the sounds it produces in its current place.

Built like a tank, quiet soft-press switch, easy to get the effect you're looking for.

Delivered with its own power supply.

Very cool pedal

Very cool pedal, das lower and higher octave to the tone.

Works very well eveen with chords and low tuning (i use it on bass tuned to low G# in my band Weesp).

Octaves sound the same on any instruments and are very digital, so this pedal is not a replacement for a good analog octaver, but has very cool synth sound and definetly will give you additional inspiration

Pros:

- Tracks very well

- High quality build

Cons:

You can just change the volume of added octaves but not their sound. Octaves sound the same and very digital on any instrument.

The Best Octave Pedal That I Have Used Till Now :)

Since 1988, I have been using many analog and digital octave pedals on electric and bass guitars. And every effect pedal has a different character. And now I am very pleased to have this pedal in my pedal arsenal. Because this is the best octave pedal that I have ever played. First of all this pedal is digital and it has a buffer in it. So you better place it after your fuzz and wah pedals. As you know many octave pedals have poor note tracking. But Nano POG has a very good tracking even if you are using upper and below octaves at the same time. I am using it after wah pedal but before overdrive pedals and amp. You definitely should experiment which placement is best for you; before the dirt pedals or after... This pedal has a nice switch and can easily be turned on and off. It is also easy to get the sound that you want in a couple of seconds. Finally I can get the 12 string guitar sound without breaking the polyphony limits of the pedal. This pedal is also very pedalboard friendly and easily fits on tight spaces. Definitely worths a try :)

Solid pedal from EHX

A real Ronseal pedal. Does exactly what it says on the tin. Octave up, Octave down, Dry signal, blend to your taste.

Tracks very well, nice sounding octave emulation, soft press switch, metal housing. The sound is worth it. Sounds better than the Pitchfork to me. If you're just looking for simple up and down octaves, this is the one for you.

Great Nano pedal for bass

I purchased this pedal for three main reasons

(1) I wanted an octave down pedal that reproduced a straightforward one octave lower sound, without adding or subtracting loads of different EQ (I didnt want extra growl, grunt, dirt or any other options, just a 'clean' octaver)

(2) I wanted a small pedal that fitted on my small pedal board, and that ran off my existing power supply chain (9v boss standard)

(3) I wanted the ability to blend dry signal as required to get the right levels

The fact this pedal also has a octave up was a bonus!

Well Im pleased to say the pedal delivered on every count. I was very impressed with the build quality - and the footswitch is the quietest and best operating one Ive seen (in fact some people may miss not a having a big reassuring 'click' when pressing - personally I though it was great)

The octave up and down, and dry signal, can all be blended to give you the desired sound and output level. I was surpised just how much the octave up can actually add to the overall depth and fullness of the sound.

I cant compare this pedal to the original POG or the micro POG as Ive never used them. However I can recommend this pedal. It has become one of the few pedals that will be a permanent fixture on my pedal board.
