Handy for making up custom string sets

I buy these single elixir gauges on occasion if I'm altering a set for an altered tuning for slide guitar. They can be expensive bought singly like this but the Elixir sets last so long that I don't mind. I use Elixirs on nearly all my stage instruments and have done for years. They save loads of hassle, rarely break and sound and feel smooth.

Great Product

My strings of choice for the last 8 years or so. Smooth, durable, crisp tones all day.

My father wanted to make his own set for his guitar because he has a bit sensitive skin (has bunch of skin problems, not to mention developing arthritis).

He liked flatwound strings because they aren't hard on the fingers but he wanted to try something new and missed the sound of the roundwounds.

He was impressed with the quality (they were removed and put back on on the guitar, I think, 3 times) and loved the coated feel they had. He claims they are not hard on his fingers.

They are still on after almost a year of use. I'd say he plays around 5-10 hours per week. Not bad I say!
