Great for B standard on Gibson type guitars

And it lasts long as well. But its really slick, almost too slick at times. I wonder if Elixir ever will release this set with optiweb coating? That would be awesome!

Way too short

I know that due to the headstock is probably subzeros fault but, my guy, if theyre supposed to be baritone strings why arent they just reasonably longer. Very annoying. Lower string just doesn't reach properly.

PSA may require tooling for standard scale guitars

I wanted a nice beefy string for a tuning experiment, unfortunately it was too thicc a diameter for my locking tuners. I partially unwound the .68 string with a pliers and it strung up fine but of course my nut needed filing for this entire set which I was not willing to do. Totally messed up my intonation on the first two frets due to the nut height!

Good set of strings but maybe use them as advertised and get a baritone guitar

Nice strings

I have them installed on a 25.5" scale length guitar.

They are OK, but too floppy when tuned B-b. The feel is good though. Perhaps tuning the guitar to C will help.

standard Elixir quality, no other string brand in the world for me.

Great except for one string

I've been an exclusive Elixir player for about 10 years now. Elixir truly has the greatest strings with the best sound that lasts. I've also loved baritone tunings, mostly using drop A or drop B. This set provides nothing more than that. This set however has one fatal flaw. It is the unwound .022 string. It is too big for an unwound string. They market it as "feeling the same as a normal set of strings" but the .022 sounds off thus far it actually stands out. If it were to be replaced with a .024/.026 wound string it would be way better. Amazing strings except for one terrible design flaw.

Bought this particular guitar strings gauge for a naughty Danelectro baritone guitar, aiming to stoner rock music. Been a long time Elixir strings user. This newer formula with ultra thin coating and anti rust feels and sounds even more natural and classic as far as roundwound strings tones go.

This particular gauge let you maintain nice flexibility and crystal clear highs with the plain strings, while the wound strings give you thick rhythms and punchy power chords, but always with good definition and brilliance for a baritone, which actually manage to keep a classic rock guitar character, and not something else, like I found with other baritones before.

Seems resistent to corrosion just like it's supposed to be.

These Elixirs are your best bet as coated/anti just plain strings, in my opinion

Using them exclusivelly since 10 years, there are no better baritone strings available.
