Elixir 14202 Nanoweb 5-String Light Reviews
Excellent bass strings!
No other strings last longer, they retain that new string tone forever.Saving me a tone of money, and sounds great.
Long term strings for bass guitar
Long term strins for bass guitar. Good sound
Worth the extra money!
I've been using Elizir for a while now. They do last at least 3 x as long and sound good too. I hate changing strings, so for me they are ideal.
Beware of fake Elixirs though, some floating around on auctio sites !
Excellent Strings
Every bass I buy gets a set of Elixirs, outstanding sound. Fresh ones do have more zing than needed, especially on jazzes,
Great strings.
I'll be honest I'm not a fan of coated strings, they feel.. different. But they do sound good and do that for a longer time then regular strings. So I can't complain much.
That being said, if you don't want to change your strings too often these are for you. I don't like getting into the "boiling your strings" situation, I'd rather get new strings. If these last me a solid 3-4 months with gig-ing twice a week I'm happy. I can just buy a new pair after the old one starts loosing it's edge.
Long lasting strings.
These strings do last longer than the normal uncoated strings. They feel quite different under the fingers and that's a love of hate thing. The are quite smooth and kinda slipy feeling. I enjoyed it. They have a slighly scoops Mids sound to them which sound nice when slapping a jazz bass. It's more hifi that steels or nickels when slapped. Finger style sounded good and pick style was very bright and percussive. If strings last you a long time normally then these will last a long time
These are great strings
This is my second set of these in a year !
I play bass maybe one time in the month ,
So for a longer lasting brightness guys these are top notch !
Use elixir also got my acoustic
