Elixir Optiweb 19002 Super Light Reviews
The best strings money can buy
Have been true to elixir for years, just great stuff.
Nice playability, but disappointing bass sound
The strings feel and play incredibly well, as if you would play on strings coated with oil. However, I noticed that the bass strings sound quite dull, which I didn't have with the strings I used before. Maybe that's because of the coating. Otherwise I can definitely recommend them.
Good for guitarists who like natural-feeling strings
The Elixir Optiweb Super Light strings (9-42) are an excellent product for any guitarists who loves the long life of coated strings but who likes the feel and sound of uncoated strings. These strings manage to deliver both quite well, even though the high E string broke on my guitar within the first month. The tone is crisp and clear and the feel is smooth without being too slippery. Excellent strings!
I will stick with it!!
I have tried many different strings *Different brands, different gauge sizes etc,,) but Elixir is definitely the one I'm sticking to! Of course, you can try different gauge sizes and different coating types and choose according to your taste. For me, Optiweb is the best one and I love super-light gauge strings
I mean ... it's Elixir great sound and long life span
There's not much to rate about a pair of strings, but i have to say that i am sticking with these form now on. Their life expectancy is really big and if you play with clean hands you can keep them for a couple, maybe three, months. However, i didn't notice any difference in sound after putting these on.
Good protection against corrosion, the coating doesn’t flake off and last a long time.
On the other hand they don’t sound very good, like there ‘s a plastic coat over the metal.
But what I don’t like at all is that they are so slinky they offer no grip at all, if you sweat the strings will slip under your fingers.
I just can’t play them because of that.
They offer a great protection, but their sound really suffers.
Cleartone treated strings are far superior in sound and feel.
Nice tone
Great heavy tone, it comes out kinda crunchy with great gain. I love those strings, as they are also very durable and smooth to play.
Long-lasting, great-sounding and a lovely feel
The long-life of Elixir strings with a less noticeable feel. Actually, at the moment I have temporarily switched from these to a set of uncoated EB 10s and I miss the smoother feel of the Optiweb coating. I'm looking forward to switching back.
Ideal durable strings.
Ideal durable strings.
The strings are used for Harley Benton R-456FR BK.
The sound is clear and transparent.
Very pleasant feeling of control of the string.
Very good coverage.
Do not stretch.
The best strings you can use forever.
Great Guitar Strings
I like these strings on my Gibson SG Standard (2018) as they play really well. The rock die-hards will opt for 10's or 11's no doubt - but I like the tone and feel of them. You can't go wrong here.
Long lasting strings that maintain it's beautiful tone way longer that expected. From my personal experience, the only reason to change them is the look of strings that have been used for years.
