My favourite electric guitar strings

These optiweb strings are my only choice for electric guitar. I don't like the circle of life experience with traditional strings. They are bright, then get sweaty and die no matter how much I wipe them or mess with cleaning products. These elixirs sound great and last ages and ages. The optiweb is more natural feeling than the nanoweb which is more slippy.

Unless you play really hard and snap strings all the time you will get a lot of value out of a set of Elixirs.

No need for explanation, great strings, last a lifetime. I do change them every month tho.

Nice strings

Nice in touch don’t get rusty and dirty to quickly and sound really good. Did not have to adjust the intonation going from daddario.

Long Lasting and Reliable

Good strings. I haven't used coated strings in the past and wanted to try them out.

No blackening or corrosion after using them most days for practise for the last 3 weeks.

They have a slightly different feel to uncoated strings, you can feel the coating but it isn't distracting once you play a little and get used to it. Almost like a softer feel but the strings still had a good sound and didn't seem noticeable darker.

Overall the extra cost I paid over my usual standard Ernie Balls has been worth it in terms of longevity so I'm happy with the strings. I would probably buy them again and have no complaints about the quality.

High quality and nice feel

First time getting coated strings, I like the feel using 2 sets for over 2 months on two separate guitars, one is played daily, still showing very slight signs of wear, for my use case (mostly playing at home) I'd say it's worth it just to avoid having to change strings often.

No more rusting strings

Sweating whatever battery acid it is that my hands produce makes strings annoying. I hate changing strings often. This is the only brand that lasts longer than a couple hours, but man does it last. Months. Very little difference in tone from start to finish, too.

Best String Set

I really like this string set. They have a plastic coating and last a very long time. I recommend it to everyone.

These strings have never let me down. I don't change the strings for half a year, they sound, hold the line, look good, no signs of corrosion

I'll never go back to uncoated

First pack of coated strings I tried and I have to say they more than met my expectations.

Last pair lasted me about 7 months during which there was regular playing of an average 2 hours per day.

They kept their tone and response way longer than regular uncoated strings (about 7 times longer) and even by the end of the 7th month, while not retaining their initial brightness and tone, they didn't show any signs of wear and use.

Definitely recommend to give them a try.

Best choice

If anyone does not know, you put these strings on your guitar and change them only after a year) They hold on for a long time, they hold the tune, although D'addario and others have their own versions of durable strings, Elixir top, no doubt about it. They are a little specific to the touch, but this also has its own charm!

Go to strings

Elixirs are the most pleasant, longest lastings strings on the market. They feel crisp even after a couple of months of use. Reliable and sounding great!

What you need to play the guitar!

Put Elixir on my guitar. I didn’t even imagine that you can play the guitar with such pleasure. Before this event, I wanted to buy another guitar. Now I changed my mind, now I think the old one is also good; D

Before Elixir I tried all sorts of Fender, GHS, Rotosound, Dean Markley.

No strings were so enjoyable. Great strings! What you need to play the guitar!

I really like these

Very good strings. They have a nice bright sound, feel good and last a very long time. I had a set of these for a year on a guitar and they still sounded good, albeit losing a bit of the sparkly nature they have when they are brand new but they never sound dull and old. I only change them when they brake.
