Elixirs.

If this will be your first set, buy them. If you had them before, you know the deal.

Finally available again in this gauge after almost two years....

There's no better strings on the market considering me.

I do not recommend for this price

From the very beginning the e string had a different sound (it was deaf), I can understand it in cheap strings, but in such expensive strings, it is unacceptable. I think someone should check the quality,

Last much longer than others

I have waited for months before writing this review as i was skeptical about the coating but i have been converted.

I do not play daily and my bass can spend many weeks unplayed in my closet and previous string would inevitably degrade quite quickly even like this. These string on the other hand still sound like new after months and i could not be happier.

Pros:

- good sound

- same "feel" as non coated strings

- last much longer

Cons:

- price

- no single set for 6-strings

Great Bass strings

I use the strings on my Fender Jazz. The tension is nice and they play great. The sound really works for me. The highs are clear but subtle and more gentle in comparison to EB Slinkys I used before.

Lows and mids are great. As a whole the sound is punchy and sits really well in the mix with other instruments.

CON: None so far. Will update in a couple of months.

PRO: Great sound and promised lifetime. Really looking forward to not having to change strings.

Amazing response and feel

I use them very often. Never found something wrong. The feel is perfect andthe clarity is amazing. I use to wipe the strings and clean them everytime i played. With the coating on these i can forget it and there is no problem. The strings stay as fresh and clean as the first day.

my go to strings for 34 inch scale

pros:

-they last up to 16 months

-considering every other non coated string goes dead in 2 weeks with my sweat, i'd have to change 32 sets in those 16 moths, so i save at least 20 times the price.

-good tension even with low E string dropped to D

-consistent tone

-smooth feel under the fingers, they are gentle to you fingertips

-sounds great in the mix

-they stay in tune

-best sounding and lasting coated strings on the market

cons:

-some non coated strings still sound a tad better, but every advantage gets lost the mix with the whole band, so ... not really a con

-some may find them a bit too slippery, but imho that's just a thing you get used to.

-they can get a bit of a "ditry" look after some time but that doesn't affect the sound

Expected more

Expected a coated string to last longer than these did. While the sound is still usable the strings are starting to rot/rust from inside the coating. Keep in mind also that these have a way higher tension than string sets in the similar gauge, which makes them harder to play and impossible to bend.

Great strings

These strings are longlife, sounds clear and bright.

Best choice to save money on often string change and to shine with really good bass sound!
