Superb punch and clarity!

The best speaker unit I've ever paired with my Marshall JTM45!

I am loving it!

I bought it several years ago to compliment my Fractal Audio AxeFxII as it's a flat response speaker. I installed it in a Marshal 1912 1x12 cabinet and everything is sweet and dandy ever since.

Feed it with whatever signal you like and it won't colour it much (if at all).

It's a bit difficult to manage to distort or even burn a 400W speaker which is a good thing.

I love the frequency response across the whole spectrum, no matter If I am using it with a guitar or a bass.

I trully recommend it to the musicians who need a powerful flat response speaker.

Great Peavey black widow (1268) replacement

Last gig we blew the 12" speaker of one of our 90's Peavey Impulse cabinet. A replacement basket for the 1268 type black widow costs more than a brand new Eminence Delta Pro 12 that's also made in USA and has slightly better specifications that the Peavey black widow. Even though I'm a great Peavey fan (not the cheap stuff from the UK but the topline from US) and the black widow speakers have a great donkey proof "recone it yourself" feature, I felt reluctant to pay more for a basket (frame + cone + coil) than a whole new speaker with better specs.

I also found the 1268 type black widow is sold in US for about $150 new. So... I ordered the Eminence Delta Pro 12 and I'm very, very happy I did. The Eminence is an excellent speaker that has a little more lows than the original 1268 black widow and a little more efficiency. With the other speaker, it's still nice on balance. This is an ideal speaker for 2-way 12" top cabinets but while it's top frequency ranges up to 5 kHz, it would be very good for monitor applications too and while most of the highs are already there, you only need a simpele piezo tweeter for the very high frequencies (hiss).

Excellent product, I'm seriously considering upgrading the other cabinet as well with an Eminence Delta Pro 12. Excellent! If you need it for more (sub)lows, you be better off with the Kappa Pro. That speaker has lower high range and lower efficiency though so for typical 12" top cabinets or monitors, the Delta Pro 12 is an excellent and economic choice. Highly recommended.

I was very reluctant to pay more for a basket (and having the replace it on
