Epiphone Starling Starlight Blue
Steel-String Guitar

How can a guitar this cheap be so good?!
I bought this guitar as something fun to play as I'd just had to sell my Martin 0-18 due to arthritic hands. Having played for about 35 years I've got used to playing all sorts of guitars over that time and i thought it'd be fun to get something simple and the Starling caught my eye, as did the features that make it more friendly for the beginner. Although not a beginner I thought these features might make it easier on my hands - and if it didn't i wasn't breaking the bank in the process. And boy was this a good move. I really can't see how you can make/sell/buy a guitar for this amount of cash - it's seems impossible! Yes, it's not made from fancy tone woods and has a laminated body, but it sounds and plays great! The finish is great, as is the fret work and hardware. It really made me smile and think of when i first started playing guitar and my first acoustic.. a £40 Hohner! and how much i loved that guitar. It's funny, but this funky little bird has made me happier than my Martin ever did and who'd ever think that!? I would not hesitate to recommend this guitar to a beginner or a player of any other level for that fact. It's just so cool! It's got a bright even tone and there's no pain in my old paws yet. Perfect to learn on. Perfect to work on. Well done Epiphone. Quality at a crazy low price to be enjoyed by all. And just look at that paintwork! Awesome!
