Wow!!

I put them on a fender player strat. HSS. And wow. Now it is my favourite guitar. Tuned to D# standard and sounds much better. Feel so much better to play as well. Worth the price? Hell yeah if you have respect for your guitar.

The only strings for me

Ive been using these for about 5 years now. There's just no beating the high end response and clarity, even a month after putting them on. I used to change strings every 2 weeks ( apparently my hands corrode strings very fast, even with cleaning after every use)

Pros: Improved response in high frequencies

Improved overall output

After initial stretch they hold tune perfectly

Dont seem to corrode as fast as nickels (about twice the life)

Cons: price

Different (not at all bad) feel

All in all a very nice set of strings, worth the money in my opinion, if for nothing else, just to push your amp just that little bit more.

Good for playing Metal

Did not like the sound of these, they sound harsh. They probably work really good playing metal. I don't play metal...

Output of pickups was great.

Surprisingly good!

I use these strings on a fairly dark sounding guitar and I'm in live with the sound I can get out of them. Tension seems increased, which I like, almost as if going up string gauge by 0.5.

They also seem to last quite a while. Never managed to break any of them either.

Very happy with these strings

These strings rock!

I use these strings many years now for my electric guitars and I am very satisfied of their tone and quality.

Bright, louder, a bit agressive but I miss the warmth

These strings sound brighter than the regular slinky's, louder and a bit more aggresive. I tought those strings would be my partner for a more rock/metal style I play . First I was happy with their sound and they last a bit longer than the regular slinky's but after a while noticed I missed the warmth that the regular slinky's gave me so I switched back to the regular ones

Really nice Strings

I bought these strings some time ago and only review them now as I wanted to see how well they perform.

I belive that they are really good. I am not entirely sure wheter you need to choose these over the regular slinkies from Ernie Ball but I do definatly believe that they last longer.

I have played these strings for roughly 5 months before changing again, which is really good. With all other strings, I usually changed these around every 3 months.

I am really happy with them and would buy them again. I can't tell anyone else to buy them as this is personal preference. I do however believe that they are worth a try!

my go to strings

been using these pretty much since they came out. to me they feel great, stay in tune really well even after a bend fest and they last ages so the slightly higher price is more than justified. They are not unbreakable and like any other string they can and do snap, however painful that can be especially on a new set, it doesnt happen too often with these and over the course of time these strings are working out great value

Love the way these strings are made. Made my guitar sound very bright compared to normal non-kobolt strings. Sounds good without amp aswell. The amplified sound is more punchier than before aswell. Should last longer than normal strings.

Fantastic sound, Poor strength

This is the third time I have bought a set of these particular strings. Each time has resulted in a broken string shortly after installing them. I installed them in the same manner as all other branded strings I buy and have no problem with, but these consistently give me problems. Apart from that the sound that they produce is fantastic and bright with a good response.
