Very powerful sound and very durable

I put a set of these on my Gibson SG. Coming from a 010 - 052 it's just increase in stability that I needed. If you're a heavy hitter (like me) these strings will keep your chords in tune.

The tone is also very thick and raw, it may be too much for people that need a more "refined" sound but for hard rock or anything high gain they're awesome!

Great Ernie Ball set with warm and clean sound and in this gauges is really an expressive tool in hand !

good value

If you're the kind of guy who only changes strings now and then, these are for you. even with heavy and intense playing, they won't break easily after a while. with proper setup, they can least for, say, 2 months. but you'll need to change them at that point, as they will begin to rust, as with any normal strings.

Ernie ball coated 11-54

I bought these to go on my Epiphone Tony Iommi SG, tuned to D Standard/Drop C.

I had 10-52 ernie ball strings on it before this, but found that they were a little light and after putting these on, the guitar feels much better - the tuning is much more stable and the guitar feels more positive.

These are great strings for down tuning and feel the same as regular ernie ball strings, except that the coating makes them last 2-3 times longer. Very good value for money.
