Ernie Ball 2247 Stainless Hybrid

Superb quality and sound

They are my number one choice for the last decades. Superb quality, sound and durability. Very good choices of the gauges. I am using not only for guitars, but also for my own traditional custom made instruments.

Great sound but...

I needed a new set of strings for my guitar, and since the Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinkies are what I like most, I wanted to try the full stainless steel set.

As soon as I put them on my guitar, I found that they feel a little bit harder to play compared to the standard nichel plated Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinkies, and they gives a "rusty" feeling under my fingertips, with lot more friction... Maybe they would last longer than a standard set and have a really great sound, but I don't think I'd use them again.

It's an opinion.

They sound pretty close to the usual set of hybrid slinkys on a strat, but the Stainless steel wound strings are a little bit stickier and harder to slide on. I personally didn't really enjoy the extra stickiness.

Great set of strings that i picked instead of d'addario ... would like a 6th string to be .52

Stainless Hybrid

Good quality and long lasting strings! I`ve bought lots of these strings, and I´m not going to chance from ernie ball. Clear and powerful sound, nothing to complain. I have used these with floyd rose and also with tune o matic and they work perfectly with both!
