I bought this to replace a rotating moonflower effect and whilst it does not rotate, the changing and flashing display works well.
We use it as part of our mobile disco setup to illuminate a wall or ceiling as part of an overall room effect inclusing star laser and other effects, and it did do this on first use this weekend, even in a room with strong ambient lighting due to sunlight through windows.
The four auto settings give us enough choices with the option to switch to sound if required. We leave on auto as it is a fill effect to dress the room, without the strobe.
The safety eye is useful and overall we are very pleased with the unit.
