I bought 4 of these little beauties to replace 2 ageing mac 600 wash light’s.. and what can i say …I will be buying more of these lights yes they have a quite loud fan noise but nothing compared to a mac 600 magnetic ballast…for the price and the features these can’t be beaten for the money! I will be buying more. Top class produce for the price.

At this price point I wasn't expecting much but I was really impressed when it arrived. I haven't yet hook it up to DMX to see it's true potential but with the auto programs everything feels good. This is identical to Stairville MH-110 but at half the price. I will be getting so more for sure. Thank you!

Showtec Shark Zoom Wash One

I've now got 4 of these, used for AmDram/Musical Theatre on a moderately small stage. I also have a pair of the non-zoom and combi spot sharks. External build quality is nothing special of course, but I have confidence in the Showtec brand (recommended by a pro-supplier I trust, over some of the other budget box shifters). This is quite a small unit but light output is good. The internal fan is not the quietest (fixed speed) and when there are a few of them rigged, the noise is easily picked up by stage mics (well if you have some decent Sennheiser's anyway). I also have a pair of the non-zoom washes and a pair of the combi spots. I would say these zooms are my favourite. They have a good usable zoom range from quite narrow to a decent wash, so can be employed in a number of scenarios....

Stairville MH-110 Wash LED Moving Head

Perfect fixture for everyone who have no intention to put them on ten meter high rig. Compact construction, impressive speed and silent movement make this wash a nice solution for clubs or small stages. Colors are bright, mixing is smooth and light output is exactly what you can expect from 70 watt led fixture. Included omega bracket feels solid. And it looks nice, even better when you notice a price.

Varytec Hero Wash 340FX RGBW Zoom

Great for it's price, the CW, WW switching is a good feature. Dividing the beam into three gives a nice effect also, almost as if it had a prism, but the beams extend way wider. I was amazed to see its light output. At slow movement speeds, pan and tilt jiggle and aren't smooth.

Purchased 2 of these and all I can say is they’re possibly too much for my needs they’re club standard lights. Output is impressive and the sound mode works well. I chose these over the lesser Hero 320 for their split colour display and additional beams for more variety. They have a bit of whirr to them but once the music is on that becomes irrelevant. If I had one complaint is that it doesn’t come with a dedicated remote which I’ve had to buy separately and I’m yet to test to see if it works with them. I presume this is because they’re designed for larger venues with DMX in mind and an array of other lights operated from a proper desk. Overall, a lovely investment and no doubt they will impress people. Couple them with a bit of smoke, stand back and...
