EV ELX 115P

Reliable and Powerful Speaker

A pair of these were bought with an Allen & Heath ZED-10FX for a two piece. Vocals, 1 acoustic guitar and a bass is what get put through.

These are just a great speaker. We have used them in small pubs to average sized hall and they have been able to handle them perfectly. In even smaller settings, one speaker on its own with a vocal going into them directly has worked perfectly. We have not yet added bass bins but that is also an option.

They are not the smallest speakers and there is a bit of weight in them but this is to be expected for the sound volume they deliver.

Amazing

I have been using the mackie thump 15"for years now as they are light with a reasonable output and sound quality but this blows them out of the water amazing sound and really good in the bass end.

ever the 12" option out performs the mackie 15" and will be getting some of these next.

Powerful speaker with detail bass

I have ELX 112P, QSC K12 & ELX 115P,

ELX 115P have nice and detail bass sound and it provide a powerful low feq.

Wood cab is nice and very good quality.

Compare to QSC K12 I think it provide a better sound but as you know, QSC K12 have more function to use.

For DJ-ing on events

I use these speakers for DJ-ing on events. The clarity is enought, very well balanced on frequency, the low frequency is very good and clear.

Pro:

-very solid

-nice look

-I had used them a few times more than 10 hours on maximum volume (sometimes in clip) and worked without problems.

Con:

-the handles are not fitted in the right place (not very well balanced).

For this price I'm very satisfied.

Rock it with EV ELX115P!

I bought three of the EV ELX115P in bundle with cases.

So, they are powerful universal full range speakers.

I used them like monitors, I used them like PA with subs.

They sounds very clear! I strongly recommend to keep

them after using in cases to avoid of condensate.

ev value for money

Bought two of these a year or so ago moving from amps and passive speakers. Great sound for acoustic music with clarity on the top end vocals, plenty of punch in the mid range but also handles keys/bass, and all in one box!

EV ELX115P Good all round quality and flexibility

My first impression of the EV ELX115P was, excellent, a powerful versatile full range speaker, with the option of adding subs in the future to really enhance the bottom end. A speaker that although it comes with a powerful 1000w of amplification, I was still able to lift it onto its stand without breaking my back! The 15inch just gives you slightly more to work with if you are using the speaker as a full rage cab. However, the 12 inch version in also very good! You still get the excellent audio quality of the 200's for example, but it just looks more modern and could sit just as comfortable in a conference as it would in a folk or rock concert. The units are ply, therefore, I would recommend padded cases! just to keep them looking in great condition. To summarise, excellent powered speakers, superb audio quality, great shape, versatility of optional inputs and gain control, plenty of power, fairly light for its size. I have decided to stay with this range and I will be expanding with more of the same, that's how good I rate them.

EV ELX 115P review

For quality of sound, power, at his valve, be willing to spend extra €300 to see any better. As a top level monitor there very good too.

Electro Voice ELX 115P

You can't go wrong with this speaker. Amazing sound !!!!!!!!!! I bought it just for my POD HD 500. Wooden case gives great warm sound which is a lot better than sound from some plastic constructions. I was thinking that 15" speaker will be very boomy but this one wasn't at all. Great midrange. Speaker is not to crispy like cheap Altos. EV is clear sounding speaker with right amount of mids and lows.

Great piece of gear for all FRFR maniacs. Has enough power to play small gigs. If you put it on side then speaker looks like 2x12 guitar cabinet. I glued some extra rubber feet just to do not scratch it. Unfortunately wooden case is not as strong as plastic one but if you do not plan to throw around your speaker then should be fine.
