Perfect
The sub is perfect for the price i payed, expected less than i got
Brilliant simple little Sub
I have an all original K series PA, 8's and 10's with a TMix 16 and needed a little bottom end for small band stuff or guitar abuse.. cough.. percussive effects.. during solo / duo gigs.
This little thing with matching crossover does the job brilliantly. Lighter than the KS112 I was sorta waiting on and for me, just what I needed.
Great Sub!
I bought one of these to use on smaller gigs, pubs & bars, where my big subs were overkill and harder to move. What a good decision that was! How I'm using it as a single sub it's never going to shake the room, but it does lift the low end of the kick drum and the bass guitar nicely. It definitely adds balance to a band mix. If I turn it off I instantly know something's missing. I know adding a second unit would make a huge difference in volume, and it's likely I'll get another in the near future.
It's also an easy lift. Even a singer could manage one of these!
This is a super little sub, highly recommended.
Quality Sub
This is a fantastic compact sub that sounds very good with my active RCF 710a the 4 feet are held on with threaded bolts which can be used to attach a locking wheel board without any loss of bass and makes life easy as you can then use it as a truck to load other stuff on top when moving gear in and out of venues, I bought the covers too so the speakers did not get marked. Happy Days
SMALL AND COMPACT.
I was looking for a sub for the small gigs i do, and this suits the job. 126db is not as load as the Ev sb122, but does the job for me in small venues, quick set up and great sound, and does not break your back carrying it. Top stuff.
Super power
Very loud and thumping bass from such a remarkably portable device. Highly recommended.
ev always top but this product is for very small live and dj sets.
There are better out there now.
Bought this ev zxa1 about 4 years ago approx, and it's still working ok, small and punchy, i have since moved to yamaha dxs subs now and am i more than happy with them. the ev zxa1 subs are good ,great size and weight ,but they are far too expensive for the uk market and lack a lot of features that other manufacturers are now offering (i.e) BLUETOOTH, DSP,EQ AND DELAY ETC... for the same or similar price of the zxa1 sub.
Great little sub
The smallest lightest sub I've ever had the pleasure of lugging in and out of car/venue!
We bought it to use with RCF710a tops for our 3 piece band and they pair up well. It's loud and punchy as hell. We are planning on buying another because in large venues it can get a bit lost, but with the size, weight and price we really don't mind.
The sound is tight and focused, without being ribcage shattering. Probably not ideal for DJ's or electronic music, but great for kick drum and bass guitar to add a little more low end thump. Crossover seems to be set perfectly at 100hz although you can't alter the frequency unfortunately.
Two drawbacks that we've found - the finish chips easily, ours is looking a little beat up after a year of use. And it's too small and light to be a base for any heavy tops, as it's designed to be used with the EV ZX1a which is an 8" cab.
Other than that it's well worth the £400 we paid.
Great pound for Pound!
Fantastic amount of quality sub for a 12 inch.
Can't believe the amount of air it moves for the size, weight and money.
Would be hard pushed to get better for the money.
