The pinstripes made by Evans...

These heads look amazing on any drums, but personally I think they look the best on lacquered maple shells or darker woods.I think that the black/greenish ring complements the inner shell finish very well.

Pros: -The design is very nice.

-Lovely sound! the sound is exactly as Evans describes it.

-Level 360 now available!

Cons: -Expensive.

My perticular head was an 8"-version, this head had uneven plies and was therefor hard to tune.

If you like Remo Pinstripe, but want to use Evans, these are the way to go.

My 8" EC2 did not have level 360-technology, so I'm sure uneven plies are no problem now when they do.

The damping material is not glued on, but rather worked directly into the underside of the head and varies in thickness and width according to the head diameter
Thanks to this individual damping, the new EC2S heads have more tone, sustain and a crisp attack
