Remo 15" Powerstroke 3 Coated

I bought this for the top (sticks) side of my cocktail drum. With a Powerstroke 4 Coated on the bottom, my cocktail drum sounds 10 times better than it did with the no-name supplied heads. With the original heads, the cocktail drum did NOT sound good at all, and I was not convinced that it was such a good purchase. But now it sounds fantastic!

With a Powerstroke 3 Coated on the top, my cocktail drum sounds 10 times better than it did with the no-name supplied heads. With the original heads, the cocktail drum did NOT sound good at all, and I was not convinced that it was such a good purchase. But now it sounds fantastic!

Remo 15" Emperor Coated

I'm playing Remo drumheads since I got my first drums, and was always satisfied with them. They are easy to tune and I can quickly get the sound I want. Never had any problem with durability. Remo Emperor is 2 ply drumhead that will provide more control and less sustain to the drum. You get more low, fat and muffled sound then single ply head, and it's more durable, but still versatile - you can get nice high tones as well as low ones. Coating gives nice gentle sound with brushes and last long. Generally you cannot go wrong with Remo, I tried different drumheads brands, but Remo has the sound I like most, and it's very consistent. When I order new drumheads I know what quality and sound I can expect.

Remo 15" Pinstripe clear

Remo has the best tone for what I am looking for in a drum set. Being that my favorite drummer, Dave Weckl, uses these heads I am naturally inclined to use them. This being said, however, I have ear enough to hear which tones I prefer and have found much more pleasure in listening to tones generated from Remo heads than Evans or other brands I have heard. The pinstripe series offers a very full tone with allowance for good "body" of the drum to be heard. I am using these on my maple series Pearl kit with deep tom dimensions and they work out perfect. The tones are steady and do not have that thin ringing sound that I despise. When it comes to mic'ng the drums and playing live, PERFECT! These are good heads to use in combination with an Ambassador clear on the bottom and can...
