Looks great but sound isn't ideal

Not for me. They lack clarity and not what you'd need on a recording.

Amazing resonance

Used this head as a resonant head for a floor tom to bass drum conversion. Amazing depth and tone, and really changed up the overall sound of the drum. I left it on the floor tom when using it with my main kit, and it gave such warmth to the floor tom.

I couldn?t reccommend it more. If you?re looking for a great evans resonant head for a great price, then this is the one for you.

I used it for recording so far, and the sound needed no EQ whatsoever. Spent all day jamming with it and it kept it?s warmth the entire way.

I?ve always found that floor toms can be a pain to tune, and to find their sweet spot, but as soon as I slapped this head on it sounding funky and warm.

10/10.

Great heads

Switched to Evans recently and won't be going back anytime soon - great product!

The prestige in resonant heads

It's sad to see many players failing to consider how much a resonant head affects the sound of a set. Many times the factory-installed general purpose head is used as long as they own the set.

Truth is, resonant heads play a big part in the overall tone and sound of a set.

These Evans heads are high-quality, good looking pieces. Even with a low-end set you can make orders of magnitude difference in sound.

Evans 16" TomTom Resonant Head

I used the Evans 16" TomTom Resonant Head on my 16" jazzy Bassdrum. Looks nice and sounds also very nice. Nothing special about it (except the colour). It is easy to tune and suits my needs.
