Interesting, but could be so much more

The included sounds are nothing to write home about. The hardware is amazing tho, and you can control synths like Omnisphere with it. Worth it for cheap MPE.

I didn’t find this instrument so useful,

Things I didn’t like:

I thought it would fit any instrument using its own E Touche effects, for example I can use for Arturia synths and could put in touché any knob

Effects are poor quantity about 8 maximum, mb u can create your own I wasn’t too deep in that yet

You can’t adjust hardness of pushing forward and back, only left and right, I find the forward and back quite hard to push, where left and right are cool

The item is quite big, it could be less, it takes quite lot of space on the table

I couldn’t update the hardware, I plugged it in, and the message came you can update, I did what the told me to do but I was unfortunate, several times.

Me anybody could help me find good instrument like this but where I could control any knob I would like in synths

I will deep into E Touché one more time, I hope I find something more

Good controller, LIE needs updates

April 2021: The controller's usage LIE software to host (or connect) other VST's (not VST3 ). This allows mapping of all the CC values to other plugins with a start & and value. Mapping of any other vst2 plugin is easy, would be nice if they could support different templates to speed up the process. The controller side pressure sensitivity is adjustable (tip : lift the controller top panel). The biggest missing feature is MPE support. This controller beats my ROLI BLOCK, more natural responsive.

The LIE soundbank uses UVIworkstation. The installer did overwrite my newer UVIworkstation with an older version & did not support an alternative UVI soundbank location. I talked to the support department and moved the soundbank & reinstall UVIworkstation to fix this. The LIE soundbanks are a bit uninspiring. I think the ARCHE collection is a better demonstrator.

Nice controller

Missing MPE support

Installer: attention if you already use UVIworkstation

Excellent item

This unit goes very well with Korg Kronos plugged into the USB port. Works flawlessly expanding beyond the capabilities of the Kronos

Love it

Very easy to setup and tweak. The bundled VST (Lie) can really bring your old software synths to life.

Working well with Massive / Serum / Spire.

Very impressive. Also - the replacement "springs" are surprisingly cheap (approx £10 for two). Which is reassuring.

Effortless expression

I got the Touche for controlling orchestral and ethnic instruments, specifically for mapping dynamics, vibrato and expression to the different axes of the Touche. I'm very pleased with the results: smooth expression, much more detailed than what a slider can get you! The best feature is that you can use two CC's at once (example: vibrato and expression) and have them flawlessly combined into each other. You can even set up your own custom CC curves (like exponential or linear or even draw one).

It might take a few days to get used to controlling the Touche on one hand, while playing your keyboard with the other - but it's worth the practice! An extra good feature is that you can control the sensitivity of the Touche (how responsive it is to your movements). It is a physical instrument after all.

A small con is that it takes about 10 seconds to save any new CC controls you assign and that it took me about an hour to find the right way to load Touche only as a midi instrument (without using Lie). But once you learn that, it's easy.

I highly recommend the Touche for orchestral composers who want to avoid using 2 or 3 sliders at once. I would recommend going with the original Touche and not the SE if you want even more CC control.

Well built, feels sturdy - and you can replace & customise parts.

Worth till last buck

This is the most amazing Midi Controller I have ever had. The APP, Lié, needs some improvements, but the manufacturer listens and new versions will come out.

I use a MIDI routing application that also can translate and filter Midi CC. I can combine routing of inputs and outputs coming from USB with merges, splitters, filters, translators and monitors. That is why I did not need the higher end device Touché and got the SE version. But still I can control the hardware synthesisers with the help of the mentioned application.

I could not find any cons yet. I recommend this device.
