Handy travelling amp
Keep it in your suitcase :-)
poor sound, and bad quality
A lot of larsen
just plugin the amp in maks a lot of larsen with my accoustic guitar.
Nice little Amp
I use this little fender in my fx chain to get an overdriven sound before going into my recording interface. you get a surprisingly solid sound, low noise and quite a range of colors from very clean to really dirty.
the speaker itself sounds too thin for my taste, but if you want something really small for travelling, practicing or fooling around at home, it's totally sufficient, and really not bad at all!
build quality is very good + the thing looks really nice.
only problem - the 9v input doesn't work with my harley benton powerplant, so i'll need to buy a power supply.
Classic
Anytime, anywhere. Sound is great for a bedroom use.
You can use a 9V rechargeable battery if you have it, or plug an external power supply (a cheap one will however create a standard audible crunchy buzz).
amazing!
i cant get over how good this thing is ..some people are saying its like a toy or doesn't sound good ..how this compares to a toy i dont know but it sure aint one ..for a 1 watt amp its got some great sound and the tones from this little monster are fantastic..the tweed covered case is nicely done and feels high quality i think the main casing is wood so its got some nice bass to it ..its solidly built so will take a bit of abuse i think ..its a perfect amp for practising out in the garden or throwing in your luggage if travelling ..its perfect with my Hofner shorty .
ok...
What I really like is the real tweed case, the grill cloth, and the leather handle. What I do not like, which is most important, is the sound. Out of all the choices of micro amps these days, this is falling far behind (just buy the marshall ms2!).
Great little amp
This is a great little amp for home/ practice. You are never going to get a great sound out of something so small but it definitely does what is required of it. Has a couple of different tweaks you can make to get different sounds but very easy to use and just pick up and plug in. Definitely recommend for home use instead of setting up your full size amp every time you want to plug in.
Fantastic toy for travelling.
At this price, you have a great sound, perfect as a travel mate for your guitar. It's nicely built, looks amazing, sounds like a fender, even if it's a toy. They made it to preserve some nuances of the fender sound, which I really appreciate. Absolutely recommended, even if it sounds like....what it's supposed to sound at this price! I also used it as a overdrive pedal (heard of some mods you can do to add a footswitch and bypass some wires to make it sound like a pedal) anyway I didn't do it, I just plugged it in my signal chain, it took a lot of volume off but gave back a nice overdriven sound to my amp, even if a bit compressed. Apart from these experiments, it's a great buy, take it if you want fun on a budget!
Inexpensive but not that good sounding. More of a toy
If you care about the sound quality this is not something for you.
If you are looking for a new toy to play and dont care about the quality than go for it.
