I have owned and played only Gibson Lees Paul guitars for the last 30 years. But always wanted to use a whammy effect. So decided to try this Fender.

It is suprisingly good in all respects.

The build quality matches (maybe surpasses Gibson).

The three pickups give far more alternative tones especially with the tone knobs added to the 5 way switch, but still retaining the Gibson sound from the humbuckers, when needed.

The action was perfect out of the box. The whammy bar is excellent and the 2 point tremelo stays in tune.

What can I say but I am converted! This Fender Stat fits in nicely with my three other Gibson Les Pauls.

Like the option of Humbuckers and Single coil.
