All the Tele that you need
Great value for money. The Player series provides a quality build and superb tele tone at a great price
Good looking and stable
the bad first: Poor quality control, if yours is subject to the same shoddy QC, then I hope it is only aesthetic. Be prepared to do a full set up on this Tele for it to play well (nut, intonation, action, truss rod, strings). Does not come with a bag...
The good: Beautiful and simple. Tuners are good and stable, the electronics are sharp, the neck is satisfying to play on, frets are OK. All in all, a reliable and beautiful Tele
remarcable poor qc
returned the very next day I received it...
frets looked like they were cut with a chopping knife, seems like they tried to cut it once, didn't quite go throught, then they tried cutting again, this resulted in sharp double edges at the end of the frets. they tried hiding it by filling with what seemed like paint?!
body finish was pretty bad as well, chipped paint at the neck pocket.
i've seem £200 chinese guitars with better finish than this one.
Super nice Player series guitar
The neck is beautiful on this, maybe not perfect, but great - I still havent gotten it 100% fretbuzz free though after multiple trust rod twists. Probably just my amateurism. The only other downside with my copy are the neckpocket cracks - I ordered it during winter and it took at least 2 weeks to get to me and it came by land I think, so probably a lot of temperature changes during that period. All in all - a recommended guitar.
Great guitar for the price.
A really nice entry level model for the Fender range, ideal for a second guitar after a starter electric or acoustic, or if you just want to add a Tele to your range without breaking the bank. Nice build quality and tone. I have had some issues out of the box with the break angle on the G string in particular over the nut, getting some ringing sounds so will have to either do some minor repairs or look at adding another string tree, which really shouldn't be something you have to do on a brand new guitar. It seems to be a mixture of a bad angle on the string and a badly cut nut slot which is where I deduct points on quality and sound. But overall an awesome guitar.
Amazing for its price & category
Amazing guitar. Excellent built. Amazing fretboard. This is a great mid-level/category guitar (i.e. squire < MN < US).
Beautiful guitar
This is my first electric guitar, but the overall quality is close to perfect, high-quality materials, sounds very good out of box , overall very happy with this Fender Telecaster.
A Brilliant Guitar
This guitar is such a brilliant guitar! I was looking to upgrade to a proper Fender guitar having only played a Fender Squire Strat before. The smooth neck makes it so much easier to play and the bonus of 22 frets is really nice! (My Squier had 21) The pick ups sound so much crisper and I especially love using the neck pick up for solos. The colour "Tidepool" is really pretty and I love the shiny finish! The smaller headstock is a nice feature and it doesn't feel like its weighing me down. I've used it at home and I have also taken it out busking so its well broken in. I would highly recommend it! (It's a good little geetar!)
Great Guitar
The first guitar i had was a tele copy in 1975. Since then i have never
had a Fender Tele until now, I love this guitar, I have Gibsons and Fender Strats but
I have to say this is one of the best guitars i have ever played.
Out of the box it is perfect. Cant fault it.
Not impressed
Edges are rough, but not as close as the nut!! This thing is sharp as razor.
Jack is somehow lose and you can't tighten it if you don't have proper tools, because it is Telecaster jack.
Pickguard is cheapest plastic (and I suspect the same for the nut).
On few places there are luthier pencil markings (or some tool), but it is sealed with transparent lacquer so you can't get to remove it without some (significant) work.
Frets are not all leveled perfectly, but it can be used.
Tuner for 6th string kept de-tuning so I bought complete set of new ones and it works now.
Sounds good. Looks nice. Invites you to play it.
But too much technical problems (mentioned above) for that kind of money.
