Great amp for the money

As I looked for something that is good for practicing, but can also work for band practice and small gigs, I can say I got what I wanted and expected. Light, functional, good sounding amp for the money.

a level control for the DI out would be nice.

the level just sits with the master, which makes it a little bit more of a challenge.. other wise great stuff.

the foot switch operates only the drive channel, whereas it would be nice if you had the option of what it controlled (different EQ buttons for example)

otherwise a great amp.

NIce and practical amp

It does not have the punch and the oomph of a larger amp with a bigger speaker (or multiple cones), but the Rumble 100 is a little smart beast. The sound is somewhat vintage-oriented so in most cases is more suited to genres like blues, r&b, classic rock, country... Of course there's no rule that prevents from using it for other kinds of music, but personally I wouldn't recommend it for slapping and in-your-face tight funky bass, for example.

It's very very light, so you are motivated to bring it along to rehearsals and have always "your sound". For live use, it has enough power to be used with satisfaction in small club situations. The line out is very handy so that you can pass the signal to the PA when gigging in bigger places, but keep in mind that tone and level will be affected by the volume settings of the amp: if you lift the volume to have more of you on stage, it will change also on the line out (some PA engineers could hate this).

Wow! So light but so loud!

How light is this amp! Ridiculously light for a 12" 100W combo!

I'm thinking of getting another one of these for a rehearsal amp. The warmth and volume you can get from this feather weight is impressive! I run the EQ flat with the contour switch engaged (the bright and vintage options don't appeal to my particular tastes). But this amp sounds good, real good. I just wish they made a balanced DI instead of just the line out. It means that any volume change I make to the amp affects the line out signal. Not a huge deal, but some times I like to tweak my on stage levels. Please Fender, take note for the Version 4 model. Otherwise, excluding my TC Electronic, my favourite amp so far.

Light ,nice sounding amp!

I mostly bought this amp for the weight (only 10kg!) .Super light and not expensive!

It sounds ok ,well I mean very good and very tweakable but it's not very loud.

The overdrive is nice but I'd love a foot-switch bundled. I personally like the vintage switch, nice mid-low harmonics a bit compressed but it's matter of taste!

If you are facing into a loud-beast drummer this amp certainly will not follow up.

With right placement and some high-mid eq boosting it might keep up but will not rumble the floor! Also when playing really loud the amp "farts" so be prepared to cut some low frequencies...

Worth mentioning that the amp is also usable for guitar and since it plays nice from low volumes I love it!

Maybe I am unlucky ,but mine had some flaws such as the power cable socket was "buzzing" and the master volume control was "scratching".

I don't worry much ,since I am on 3 years warranty but even made in China it's a Fender and I expect descent quality.

To summarize:

If you want a loud bass amp check the 200W model. Else for the money, sound and being so portable buy it!
