Fender Rumble 500 Reviews
Fender Rumble 500 2014
I just love this amp i got this as a backup but its much better then my
Markbass so the fender is now my gigging amp plus its so so light and i like the vintage switch what can i say fantastic!!
Surprisingly loud!
This amp is brilliant, capable of full tonal communication and handles bass effects very well. Although is oversold as a 500w amp it's important to note that it's about 375w without a 8ohm extension cab, but by no means is this an under powered amp. It is plenty loud for your average band situation (unless your rhythm guitarist is playing down-tuned through a bass head). This amp also more than holds it's own in medium sized venues and consistently delivers a solid tone (it is important to remember though that you need a good bass to get a good amp tone). The effects section of the pre amp is quite impressive, VINTAGE turning any bass into a pretty good emanation of a 60s p-bass tone, CONTOUR bringing a decent slap tone and BRIGHT being pretty much useless if your bass has good pickups.
Great tones very loud and very light
I was fed up with the weight and size of my bass amp which was a Vox V125 and 15" cab. I wanted a retro looking amp without the hassle that valve amps bring. I read a few reviews of the fender rumble 500 and decided to take the risk. I am so pleased that I did as this amp is much louder than my valve set up and is easily loud enough for any size venue. It's so light and transportable too. Also it looks fantastic with a real quality fender retro vibe. Lastly the sound is fantastic. Achieving authentic retro sounds or modern day bass tones is no problem at all. It even has a great sounding overdrive function. Couldn't be happier with the sound look and quality of this amp.
A great modern bass combo.
For many years now I've been using an old heavy Trace Elliot bass rig. No fun at all transporting and lifting those two heavy MDF cabinets around. For a while I've been looking to replace my bass rig with something far lighter and more powerful.
Long story short – I’ve been researching various 500w heads and combos and the newest Fender Rumble line always had the most consistently positive reviews and posts on bass forums. I bought the 500w V3 210 combo and I’m very impressed! It’s very light – it can be carried with one hand. It’s tough, loud and punchy with a great balanced tone.
The downside is that Fender doesn’t provide a cover for the combo so you have to go to a third party supplier for that.
Great Amp.
Very light, POWERFUL amp.
Great warm and full tone.
Great price...
Quality Powerhouse
Got this to practice in a band, wasn't sure I was aiming to high in terms of power, 500w is a lot but for a bass player it's never a bad idea to have a bit more, even for practicing, if you're thinking in buying an amp I'd recommend this anytime even if you have to go a bit above your budget. It's light for it's size and power, looks awesome as well and the sound is punchy and strong as hell :)
Would love that it came with a footswitch but for the price I believe this is the best amp in this gamma of power and quality. Very happy!
