Fine strap
Good strap, but it's quite long. Probably will take some adjustment for most people.
high quality strap
The strap feels very high quality.
The only negative point I have is that is not really convenient to have to slide the shoulder pad, but once the shoulder pad is in the correct position it doesn't slide around anymore and is very comfortable.
Fender Thin Strap
Brilliant!
My favourite type of strap. I have used this type of (Fender) strap for some 15 years and this is the 4th of this type I have bought and now it is the only type I buy. (Though I do have others, just rarely use them)
The strap is light weight with a shoulder pad that slides to stay on your shoulder and helps distribute the guitar's weight. As the strap is thin it is unobtrusive and not a distraction or obstruction like some of the horse belts on the market.
Fender's quality is great and they last for years. Put it this way, I have never had to replace one because they are spent. Quality and looks great, buy one and try it.
Nice vintage looks...
...but a vintage flaw in that the pad didn't stay in place and usually worked its way down my back!...find its position, punch a hole through pad and strap and tie them together!
Its also a little short but as already said in a previous review, punch another hole and off you go! Would also agree about the use of strap locks as pointed out by the same reviewer!
I'm not 100% happy with how robust these might be with a heavy guitar and rigorous use...don't use them with my old non "weight relieved" Les Pauls....but they look great with my older Fender's so I've actually bought a few of them at this stage.. though I also use some of the Harley-Benton vintage types and they seem better quality overall...
Good looking and reliable
This is a really good looking strap. Understated, not flashy at all. I have only used this with my girlfriends telecaster which is a really light guitar but it is very comfortable.
I did have to punch an extra hole so it was a good fit for her but if done carefully it will not affect the strength or look of the strap.
Word of advice - use with strap locks. The holes seem quite large and often slip off the strap buttons. This can be deadly for your guitar! To be fair it could be because she swaps the strap between two guitars so the holes are maybe getting a little more use than usual but still - strap locks!
Vintage leather strap
I was looking around for a strap to put on my Telecaster. It looks a little roughed up due to frequent use so i wanted a simple leather strap to match that look. The Fender Vintage Natural leather strap looks quite nice out of the box. The edges have a pattern stamped to them and the whole thing smells like leather. The leathers surface is very fine and flat. Actually the whole thing looks brand new which is not quite what i wanted it to be. So i took some sandpaper and did some work on the edges, the shoulder piece and every bit in general that would be exposed to wear and tear in actual use. I then kneaded the leather heavily and finished it with some grease. Now the strap has some true road worn look. :)
Looks great with the Tele
Just bought a Tele, I am a sucker for anything that says Deluxe or Vintage...what can I say? No seriously, looks good and feels good.
fender guitar strap ... oh yeah!
These fender Vintage guitar strap is a very good lookin leather strap. The wearing comfort is good, but the leather is a little bit too stiff. Its will be softer if you treat the strap with leather balsam ...
points for the cool old - school style and the quality ;)
Will soften into a lovely strap with regular use.
This strap compliments my Fender CP-100 Parlor guitar perfectly.
It has a different feel to regular guitar straps, but adds authenticity to owning a blues guitar. I'm sure it will soften beautifully with age into a lovely leather strap.
Quality Fender!
A great strap for the authentic vintage look and very well made in genuine leather. The shoulder strap is padded, but you would not want to rely on this when doing a long gig with a heavy bass! If you want retro looks and a well made strap, then this is a good buy.
