Voodoo Lab GCX Audio Switcher

Having a set of Boss pedals and stomp boxes, this brilliant product allows any number of switching commands and you can plug all of your 1/4 inch jacks in any way you like. I have an Engl Savage setup with this and also have the Ground Control Pro. I use 6 boss pedals and each of those are wired into circuits 1 through 6. I use number 7 to control whether I turn on my effects loop or not, where I have a decimator in there to remove the noise. It's perfect because I can now at one single push of a button, choose any number of pedals to be activated, turn on / off my effects loop and even control my amps midi settings. The GCX is brilliant for allowing the switching options and did you know it will act as a power source for your Ground Control Pro. No need for more plugs, just a 5 pin XLR...

I use this foot controller for controlling Ableton Live primarily. For launching clips, guitar looping and playing notes with my feet (synth bass etc...). The build quality is excellent. It feels great, you know when you have depressed one of the buttons and the chassis seems like it is built to last on the road. I can not tell if the buttons/keys themselves are plastic, they are solid and do not feel like plastic, more like aluminium. Either way, they are very robust and have a solid feel when depressed. The only thing I would worry about is the large data encoder, it is also well built, but seems like it could handle less abuse than the rest of the controller. Programming it was a bit tedious but straightforward. Not difficult, just repetitive. I would say it is a huge improvement over...

G-LAB MIDI 2x Looper

G-LAB MIDI 2x Looper

Based on 7 reviews

This piece of gear is extremely useful for musicians who want to add analog non-midi compatible pedals into a MIDI-controlled setup. It fits under my Pedaltrain Novo 24 (along with a Cioks DC-7 mounted in the Cioks grip) and should work with any MIDI-controller really. I personally use a Morningstar MC8, and now all my pedals can be turned on/off by the controller. Switching is totally silent, which is really nice as one of the pedals I use in the loop (Red Witch Moon Phaser) emits a pretty loud pop when switched on/off on the pedal itself. No need to worry about this now with the G-LAB! Build quality seems solid, and it does exactly what it is supposed to do. I hope they do a stereo version in the future, but this one is really perfect considering the size and price.

Voodoo Lab Ground Control Pro

So there many different options on the market today for being able to control your effects. This just seems to be one of the best options out there. Teamed up with the GCX Switcher, its a match made in heaven. So I don't like big pedal boards. Never have. In most venues ive played in, your limited on space, so that last thing you want is to not actually be able to fit your board on the floor in front of you. The ground control pro does away with that problem. I literally have just this on the floor in front of me and thats it. Its powered by phantom power from the GCX unit which means instead of having 3 jack leads, and a power cable running out the front. I have a small midi cable and Im sorted. I also sing a lot. So when changing paths, I don want be tap dancing to turn the delay and...

Engl Z12

Bought this foot-switch for my ENGL Invader and it works perfect. I use it to control my amps four channel's, gain and brightness settings, FX loops and I'm able to switch anything with one switch stomp, so that's perfect for me. Z12 has 0-9 preset banks and at first it might seem it should have 10 presets for each bank, however that's not true... 00 preset does not exist, so when you select bank - 0, switch nr: 0 does nothing... However that didn't gave me any difficulties using it efficiently (I try to avoid bank 0)! I also use it on stage and don't have any difficulties using it, however I think if the stage was very dark I might ran to some issues... There could be LED indicators for each switch (which do not exist) since that would make easier to see when it's dark on stage......

Keith McMillen SoftStep 2

it's simply amazing how deep you can programe the soft step and its presets. With two different editors for basic and Expert users. Really well made and portable (about 500 gr). It will change the way I do music with Ableton Live and my horns. Really excited with this new toy! Furthermore, I asked for some support to it's developer team and they (thanks Evan) modified some of his work (Ableton Clip Launcher) for get the SoftStep working on the way I was wishing! Really happy with this money I've spent on this!

Tech 21 SansAmp MIDI Mongoose

Tech 21 SansAmp MIDI Mongoose

I bought this controller to use my electric guitar modeler in a context of playing live and in rehearsals with my band. It works perfectly for this purpose. The controller is quite lightweight and compact, which makes it quite easy to carry in the rack where the modeler is mounted, or even in the guitar case. Also use it to control a multi-effects unit in parallel. works equally well. The Midi mongoose is quite versatile, I can use it with up to two expression pedals, I can power it with phantom power from the 7-pin midi cable (or with a 9-volt battery mounted inside), and all in one compact chassis that can even be mounted on a pedalboard to control an effects pedal that has midi capabilities (to change presets for example). The quality of construction is quite high, nothing on the pedal...

Keith McMillen 12 Step

Keith McMillen 12 Step

Based on 5 reviews

The 12 step is a semi rigid platform with 13 buttons, one 4 digit LED and a couple of USB sockets, and acts as a one octave pedalboard. The other options for pedalboards are 3 times the price of this. Note, the 12 step has a USB output, rather than Midi, so if you want to control synthesisers or modules directly, you need to get an adapter, such as the Keith McMillen one they sell, and should factor this into the price (although it is fairly cheap). If you are playing directly into a computer, you don't need this. The buttons are quite small and close together so takes a while getting used to them, and you do need hard soled shoes to use them to their best. They are rubbery and don't have much feel, they are also pressure sensitive. The board flexes a bit when pressing, so it works...

Behringer FCB1010

Behringer FCB1010

There are not many available midi foot controllers out there, but no problem, the Behringer FCB1010 does the job. I'm using it with Digitech GSP 1101 and have another identical one for the Fractal AXE FX I, whatever guitar processor you use, this controller is the best choice. You might need to calibrate the expression pedals after u get it and look for a manual and/or guide online because the manual it comes with isn't very helpful. Other than that, I am very satisfied with it. Also, add a midi cable in the order (the box contains the pedal, manual, a sticker and a powercable)

Harley Benton MP-100 MIDI Foot Controller

Harley Benton MP-100 MIDI Foot Controller

I bought this midi foot controller for my Kemper. I never had one before, so I was a little worried about connections and setup. I had some issues at the very beginning because the user's manual (only in english and german) does not say anything at all about Kemper or other devices connections. BUT I have to say about kemper, I have connected the midi cable to the MIDI IN on the Kemper, and everything has worked, even if the display on the controller says "JAMP"....Once you are in the performer mode on the kemper and you have your rigs in it, everything will be very easy. If you want to set the KMPA on the display you will have to keep the button "C" pressed and then turn it on ( I write this, because NOWHERE it is written in the manual or online). I made a video...
