These pups were bought to replace some frankly ridiculously bass heavy Seymour Duncan Blackout actives. Package arrived on time, and fitted to the instrument the same day. Installation is a breeze, the Fishman website has diagrams for all the common wiring configurations. My setup is 2xvol, 1xtone and a 3-way blade, which is partially documented, so I emailed Fishman support and got a personalised diagram for my setup the same day. Nice one Fishman Support! Overall these are really extremely high output pickups, very well balanced across the frequency range, and the three voices make them highly adaptable. Voice one is an active voice modelled on EMG, voice 2 is modelled on a hot PAF (with unique 2 notch EQ bump), and voice 3 is a single coil not unlike a strat or tele style pickup....

I bought these pickups as a direct drop-in replacement for a set of Fluence Classic 7 strings. They sound fantastic - tight and aggressive with a more organic and responsive tone from Voice 2. Cleans are very good and the new Voice 3 offers impressive single coil sounds. Unfortunately while the pickups sound amazing, some of the fittings in the supplied mounting kit aren’t the best quality. The screws supplied were too thick for the mounting holes on the pickups and the threads strip very easily. I ended up needing to use third party screws I had to hand to finish the install.
