I've used this in a 2-way Bass cabinet with great results. It's very lightweight and that's a big plus for anyone moving gear around. Don't let that fool you into thinking it's lightweight in sound. Clean and deep bass even under severe pressure. Handles fuzz/wah/distortion effects on the bass guitar very well. I'm ordering one more to use in a sub for the PA system. Be aware about the nasty spike around 1050+ Hz, it's best to crossover at max 950 for multiway cabinets. For sub woofer duty this doesn't matter as you would anyway crossover between 80 - 120 Hz. Highly recommended low frequency driver!

I built a 2x15 with these speakers, and I really like it. Be careful though: it's not your typical V30 sound! In my opinion cleans and crunch tones sound great, heavy distortions not so much. Don't get me wrong: they don't sound bad, but they're not tight and mid focused like you might expect from a V30 or Greenback. This is particularly apparent when recording, not so much while playing live. If you use sounds which lean towards old school hard rock, blues or jazz this speaker will not disappoint you. If you want to play Metal be very careful with the gear you'll pair it with!

I have had this speaker for a few years now and it still sounds as good as ever. I put it in an old keyboard amp cabinet with some adjustments to reduce it's size and I also ported it to maximize the bass frequencies. I used it for live gigs for a few years and with a 500 watt Hartke head I never had any problems with power or getting a good sound out of it. In much bigger venues it would have to go through the PA I suppose but alas I didn't play any big gigs with that band. It is giving out a bit less power because it is on a 4 ohm output too so it is capable of more. I have used it on and off in the studio too and have had no problems there. It's a good speaker.

I have a pair of the box PA 252 cabs (which I believe have two of these in them), so when I was given a pair of 1x15" cabs with no drivers these were the obvious choice to get them up and running. The installation went smoothly, I was pleased to find that they have sprung terminals... which I think in the long-run will be far more reliable than re-using the original crimp connectors from the cabs crossover. Now using them for rehearsals with a 6 piece band and easily handling vocals, keys, kick & snare. They sound and handle so well... it's amazing to think that it's a sub £100 rig. The only complaint I have about these is the packaging... although the box is very sturdy, the silica gel sachets have been stapled to the inside of the box and all of them ripped open in...

This 15 inch, 4 ohm speaker arrived and was intantly popped into it's cabinette whiich belongs to my "front sound system". This new speaker replaces a broken 8 ohm, same size speaker. it's driven by a 350 watt (rms) per side stereo power amp. The difference in sound power (db) is amaising, sound quality too, has improved imensely. To ballance left and right with a decibel meter, the "main out" slider driving the new speaker is now 1/4 lower than the other side wich still has an 8 ohm origional speaker. My amplifier does recomend 4 ohms per side, I now know the difference, also, the amp runs cooler on the new speaker side. What more could I want-maybe another 15 inch, 4 ohm speaker for the other side.

I'm a professional bassist and just changed the speaker in an old combo bass amp with this baby and I could not believe the difference. All of the sudden it sounded like a brand new much larger amp. I use this amp now regularly for rehearsals or small to medium size gigs and I'm still amazed with the improvement that this Celestion speaker has made to the bass combo. It is very round and clear with a fat bass sound and a smooth but pleasant mid sound. Now I also take it with me to every studio recording and mike the amp. The sound is very rich and tight. I highly recommend it.
