Beast Monitors
Saved up for years in order to become the proud owner of what I consider to be some of the best near-field studio monitors ever.
After managing for years on very budget-friendly monitors, I was determined to invest in professional room acoustics and some decent monitors for my work.
The level of detail and the stereo imaging in these will blow your mind when used in a well treated acoustic environment. They are crystal clear. Not harsh. Super wide sweet spot. Tight clear bass response moves the air in front of your tummy and makes you grin like an idiot.
The sound just sort of materialises in front of your face - you can't tell how far away the speakers are or their exact position.
I've listened to a fair number of monitors from various high-end brands - in treated rooms/studios and yet I am still drawn to the sound of Genelec monitors.
Definitely recommended for anyone serious about production or listening in a treated acoustic environment.
Built like tanks - these monitors handle everything you can throw at them ;)
Simply the best in the industry
I'm in shock! I moved from my old KRK VXT8 and the difference is day and night! Pristine clean and stable highs and solid and powerfull bass without sounding any dull or rumble. I will stay in the Genelec family for sure!
Very Nice~!
The quality is very good.
I highly recommend it.
There Genelecs of course their good
Built quality is superb your really buying into a serious brand with the 8000 series genelecs I used to own the 8030’s and mixes were instantly better you could hear in great detail if things were over compressed or sticking out in the mix which I couldn’t hear on cheaper monitors the 8040 sounds identical but has more power and deeper bass, if your not used to the lower frequencies you need to get your ear in by listening to music similar to what you will produce, there not hyped, and highs are smoother to the ear more than Adams for example some would say a little hifi but there is no doubt they are clear I love these !
Best studio Monitors ever love this!!!
amazing equipment
they are genelec, i thought they will sound amazing and they did. Its just powerful and great looking, just a clear and real representation of your mix, i had to revisit some old productions and realize i was lacking a lot of frequencies to make the sound full. With these monitors i realize i wasn't hearing any of these frequencies, its really good on mid frequencies and stereo field of your mix. You wont regreat it!
Genelec 8040 BPM
Flat frequency response, Great stereo imaging!
Super detailed sound
I have mixed music on Alesis monitors for 12 years, and the difference is amazing. At first it might be hard to get used to the super flat sound, as it uncovers every little detail. I could hear noises I never thought were there. Great tool!
The best speakers I've worked with!
I have been a sound designer and music composer for more than a decade and it took me a while until I could afford the Genelec class speakers. I've worked with headphones and Yamaha HS series for quite a while though, but the 8040 BPM series are a game-changer.
The sound is very clear, I could even hear noises of compression, something that I could barely detect on my old speakers and even headphones.
The bass is so clear, I barely have to equalize or touch it afterwards.
The options on the back that allow for bass and treble tilts are also very useful and can help in finding the perfect balance for your room.
The price is pretty high, but so is the quality. All in all, I am really happy with this purchase,
Perfect sound
I bought these Genelec 8040s for my studio and it was the best choice i've made.
Pros.
The sound is great, very good frequency response, good 3D and stereo image when mixing. Its built very strong and sturdy. Great Finnish quality!
Cons.
Only con is that the power switch is in the back.
Get it and you won't regret it!
